Booing certainly isn't new. And I'll admit to doing it in the past. What's mental is booing 2,3,4 games into a season with an incomplete squad (ade still unfit etc.) and a new manager.
So out of 36,000 people gathered in one place in London some are mental and some are blinkered myopic cunts.

Not exactly ground breaking but yeah I'd go along with that.

I blame News Corp for ruining the world.

And Robbie Keane, it always comes back to Robbie Keane the pesky little leprechaun. :keane:

I once went as a guest of the match sponsors, and were sitting in the seats next to the directors section.

Got absolutely cunted on the free booze and got more than a few dirty looks when I shouted any kind of encouragement out. Just ignored all the pretentiousness of it and enjoyed the game as an actual fan, less than half of the sponsors guests weren't even Spurs. Fuck off and watch rugby or something.

Was still a great day though as got to meet man of the match, Ledley King.
About two years ago? I was there. Freezing cold. Dull as batshit. Terrible atmosphere.

Carlito, every other forum I've seen is full of people who like to boo our team, call the manager shit because a new manager and new team dared not to win in our first three games. Why can't there be just one forum not full of people like you?

You think we are cunts for stuff like 1882 and people for blogging or daring to discuss Spurs on a podcast?

Luckily there's lots of people here who think your mindset is bullshit. Think your boring rant will change our minds?

damn it, he had me convinced.

That was until I noticed the lack of care to diction and syntax in his little 'speech'.

He's never really a 'Carlito', probably more likely a 'Carl' but with a 'K'. There is not even a hint of a soprano-esque accent. :bmj:

(and yes Mr Karl I am being an obtuse cunt, I just feel like it today)

in fact, the chances are if you cant be bothered to boo, you are not going to be bothered to sing either.

Are you suggesting that the people who are not singing are not the one's booing, by and large?

And that the ones singing are probably also the one's booing?

While some of the points you make are actually pretty valid, this makes no sense to me, and I dont get how you think supporting the team is "pious".

Its peoples right to boo. Its also other peoples right to think they are cunts for doing it. If anything, your rant is a prime example of what you are accusing TFC of, just from the other side.

Coupled with your digs at the 1882, you just come across as a pretty miserable fan, and miserable fans dont create a good atmosphere.

I thought this site was for all Spurs fans? Not just those who like writing blogs, starting hashtags on twitter and turning up for a sing along at kids games.

If you want to sing at games, sing, if you want to boo, boo. Dont whinge like a bitch about Spurs fans as if were that lot down the road.

Well a lot more simple than the internet blog mong fest I am being exposed to.

So, are you not also moaning like a bitch about Spurs fans...should take your own advice.

"If people want to blog, blog, dont whine like a bitch about them blogging......."

I do kind of agree that at times this place can seem like a superfan cult, and I can see how someone can come in and see some posts/members being "holier than thou". Singing and being positive >> booing and calling playerss/managers cunts though IMO.

That's what I'd like a 'boo'er' to explain to me.

Really don't see how those who want to turn up, sing, cheer, jump up and down, clap, wear a pointy hat and be a bit silly should be criticised.

Can just hear the likes of Pulis or Allardyce saying to his players 'Listen to them booing their own team'. Team talk done, kettle on.

Fella has a point about demographics though. Far too 40+ in the ground. Cost of football to blame.
