But what do think we should do right now?
How do we go back to the first three games of the season, which we won, scoring 8 and conceding 2.
That was only a month ago.

Thats why the situation is strange. We started well.....I dont understand how it can be down to one thing.

It cant just be signings, or just fatigue, or just Harry Kane, or Just Poch, or just the stadium......

My question is why have all these issues come to the fore at once, at what do we do on Saturday?
Everyone shitting the bed because of the "other teams". This is what it's about.

Every season under Poch we start slowly, move the results to one side and focus on the performances, not just this year but every year, we are not at our best for things to click and look great. We may have won our first 3 this season but the performances were 'normal' not great to watch, us not clicking. Diffrenece was we had takenall three points, where in previous season we had been beaten or drew. The perfomances however were more or less the same, without fanfair.

Now to drill down further we have played two rival title contenders, winning one losing the other and a side that absolutely deserves to be where they are now, Watford.

Now look at those rivals and who they have played:
Woolwich = Only teams they have beaten have been literally bottom of the table (West Ham, Cardiff & Newcastle). In none of these games did they look good e.g Cardiff hadn't even scored a single goal until they played them and stuck 2 past them, should have scored a couple more. The two 'rivals' they played beat them easily, even though the Chelsea game was weird as fuck in the first half.

Chelsea = Huddersfield relegation fodder, Woolwich (beat them at home as they always do), Newcastle scraped over the line, our performance against this same team was better; Bournemouth (I don't know what Bournemouth are probably mid-table side) I didn't see the game but not surprised with the result; Cardiff (relegation fodder). So only one away game in that lot too but zero surprises with the results. So Woolwich and Bournemouth their highest placed teams they have faced.

City = No surprises in any of their results other than against Wolves, who are a very good side and will take points off another top 6 rivals. They got the same score against Newcastle as us, although I thought they played better than us against them by comparison. So the highest placed side they have faced is Woolwich and the result was completly as expected.

Liverpool = One title rival (Us) and they deservedly won. Leicester, Palace, West Ham, Brighton. Don't think they have been anywhere near as good as is being made of them but every game, with the exception of ours (even though they were the bookies favourite to win against us) has gone as expected.

Man U = Another who has only played one title rival so far (us) and lost. Leicester, Brighton and Burnley all results you would have predicted. Against Watford, they should have lost and where it not for their 'keeper they would have done. But this win was a very good result as Watford will probably be best of the rest this season.

So without a doubt in my mind, we've had the hardest fixtures so far. Other rivals will drop points at Watford because they are a good side. Our results/performances are no different than those of our rivals against the same teams. City on the whole still looks to be the team to beat judging by how they are playing.

I'm not seeing anything alarming so far, City still looks the best side, I am undecided about Chelsea this year, they have a great Manager (better than Conte, specifically as he plays better, more attractive football but this could make them more open??). Woolwich will improve by virtue of being better-drilled defensively but looking at how they are currently defending, I don't see this actually being addressed yet, which is a welcome surprise. We will fight out 2/3rd with Liverpool and maybe Utd if they persist on boring their way through the season.

Liverpool bottle a 2-0 lead at home, but have the character to win the match 3-2. Spurs bottle a 1-0 lead with 7 minutes to go. I don’t care how much Liverpool have spent, they have addressed their issues, you have to admire that. They’re miles ahead of us this season.

Until.....

The media are whipping them into a frenzy, they are great, they are the team to beat.....

We could have come away with a point despite being truly shit and them having chance after chance and gifted two goals.

Things already look more difficult for Salah, Mane has stepped up. Once you get past their midfield they are jittery and I fully expect Citeh ( with a score to settle remember) to get through their midfield and expose the World's greatest defender and keeper.

Liverpool starting a season brilliantly isn't uncommon. Liverpool keeping it going all season is.

We have started slow the last few seasons. This year we got off to a great start with 3 good wins, and now we've hit a slow spot.

Last season we beat Newcastle, lost to Chelsea, drew with Burnley, beat Everton and then drew with Swansea. So on points we have had a better start. Maybe we get this poor period out of the way and then we go on a good streak, it's not like we haven't done that before.

When fans look at other clubs and are envious at the ambition they show....so must the players.

Is there not an element that the same faces for another year has brought about staleness?

This team is not young anymore. This is the third season since the Leicester title win and we still have nothing in the cabinet and our lack of investment firmly put us on the backfoot. Liverpool in two years have accelerated past us in their project.

Fatigue affecting performance levels.( And that nations league shit affecting international friendlies...we could have negotiated Alli and Kane a week and half off if that first break was just friendlies)

Stadium obviously has an effect. But that's something that's out of control our control.

Under looked, I think, is Lloris injury. All 4 set pieces goals haven with him out the team, as have 6 of the 8 conceded.

Lack of aggression.

We lose to Watford after being 1-0 up and players walk off the pitch with their heads down.
We don't even turn up against Liverpool as if we've already lost the game because they've already been crowned the best team in history.
We lose to Inter after being 1-0 up and the heads a down again.

At no point have I really seen a player be pissed off with the performances. I hope that whoever goes out on Saturday goes out with a point to prove and plays with the anger to show that we're a good side again.

Lloris being out is a huge issue imo. Vorm looks out of his depth, which creates nervousness amidst the defence. He really doesn’t command his area or organise his defence. No keeper stops Icardi’s effort. He literally could not have hit that any better. But every set piece has me filling my trousers in Lloris’ absence.

Sorry, but since the Leicester year 2015/16 (including the summer prior to that season), we have signed:

Toby
Son
Njie
Trippier
Yedlin
Wimmer
Nkoudou
Janssen
Wanyama
Sissoko
Sanchez
Llorente
Aurier
Foyth

Plenty of new faces.....Five of them are now some of our absolute best players, two are squad cover, one is a prospect out on loan, one is rotting away on our bench for the second year running after scoring 15 PL goals when we bought him and of the 5 remaining you could argue that 3 were not given a fair chance

I haven't seen that good performance that Poch and many of you were talking about. I have seen only tiredness and bad attitude (except Lucas). Have anyone seen the body language of some players? Their shoulders and heads down? I haven't seen that for years, from AVB time. If we don't have money for new players, I hope that we have for best psychologists. It shouldn't cost too much :) That could be the best investment so far.

I'm talking about competitions for places. But firstly I use after the Leicester season because that was the start of thinking we can achieve something big. We didn't start the season expecting not winning the league would be disappointing. It fell on its face at the end but positives outweighed the negatives.

After that season only Wanyama, Sissoko and Sanchez have had extended runs in the team. One of those is the fans most scapegoated player.

Jordan Henderson is a better player than Dier but Liverpool upgraded on him. Whereas we still play the plodding Dier in CM.

Competition for places keeps everyone on their toes and raises the standard. I'll admit Poch doesn't give some a fair chance - if I'm GKN I'd be thinking what's the bloody point of trying. But in that case why is he still here? Why is Llorente here when we barely use him? Certain players know they are as close to undroppable as possible when they're fit and that's not a good thing.

The board are responsible for the Stadium fiasco

It didn't take a genius to figure out the stadium wouldn't be ready for the start of 2018-19, the club should have just been honest from the beginning.

Edit - also a bit early to start talking about things being wrong or in crisis. Very winnable series of fixtures coming up (Barca aside), if we take near maximum points I wouldn't worry. But if we draw some of those games then it's time to ask a few questions. No investment whatsoever in the team is a funny one, to say the least, though I'm of the opinion we only needed one or perhaps two new players.

I don't think he's a poor keeper.....he,s better than plenty in the premiership. BUT I don't think he's an organiser in the way that Lloris is. ( You don't get to be national Captain as a goalkeeper in your early 20s if you don't organise at the back). Vorm is also more of a goaline goalkeeper, and that always affects your ability to defend a set piece as a team.

Depends if it was Levy out there testing the sprinklers or not.....blame for that aside, even if we hold the club responsible or not, we´ve lost one game at Wembley this season, so dont see that as the main factor.

We do need a home though
The board are at least responsible for their management of the delay (if not the delay itself, through Levy's micromanagement of everything) and 100% responsible for their subsequent PR, the current slowdown and overtime restrictions and the pathetic uncertainty and lack of information.

Long been my suspicion that the above is the result of failing to get naming rights in place (as was the lack of transfer activity). If so, then that's on the board too.

These are all things they can change, some almost immediately (the transparency and PR thing for starters).

And hey, Uncle Joe could always flog one of his Picasso's and chuck us £100 million, it's not like he's going to be looking at it for that much longer

I think we are heading fast to the end of this current team. For 3 years they have given all they have and now there is simply nothing left in the tank. They have heard Poch, followed him, bust their guts for him. Now I don't think they are able to respond to his demands, the same voice. I believe the team will be radically overhauled next summer with many players leaving. l just wonder if Poch wants to stay and build a new team

Even if we have a bad season now I don't think Poch deserves to be sacked. The man has done a great job building this team into CL regulars. Also I don't believe there is anyone else out there who could have done this with Levy's financial restraints.

Well, we've only played one game at "home"

No one wants to buy Llorente or GKN, if they did they would have been sold. The same could also be said of Toby and Rose, despite the controversy around those two players and whether you thought they should have left of stay, they both wanted to leave, it appeared we were happy for them to leave but not a single club came in for them. So here we have two examples at opposing ends of the quality spectrum but no club showed any interest in buying them.

We have competition for almost every spot in the side with the exception of Kane (but we do have cover if he's injured, as we have proved for the past two seasons), Eriksen (although it might be that Lamela can provide this cover if not competition), Lloris although again we have cover, not competition and the same can be said about Vertonghen, we have cover but not competition. Apart from these players, the competition for a place is there.

You keep mentioning Liverpool as an example, only Allison played last night who was a new signing for them, they lined up with last years team. Kieta averages 60 mins for them so far this season. Their best player this season is James Millner, who is the player keeping Henderson out of the side.
