The Problems at Spurs

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Oh please!!!

It's called wanting and recognising that winning trophies allows us to stand at the top of the mountain and say "we've done it" Nothing wrong with that.

If the height of ambition is just perennial development then good luck with that.

God forbid that free will of a Spurs fan might be similar to a view shared by members of the media.

And Lamela has been good I grant that. No one else in my opinion. Not to the point of singling them out. Even Moura had a 2/3 game burst and has since slipped. We need consistent 7.5/8 out 10 performances to challenge.

Best EPL start points-wise is meaningless then, yeh? All whilst universally accepted as being below par....

Now whats that old cliche a out winning when playinh badly?

Nah that only counts if you're invited to the Sky love in.

Hows things going for your hero Maureen, btw...? Sheer inspiration as always.

As for Trophies.... In case you hadn't noticed we won a cup tie last night. Meanwhile darlings Liverpool and your boy's rabble have one less trophy to "CONTEND" for already.

Bore off.

That's me told.

I hope you are being remunerated suitably

Fantasy football: Alisson, Kepa, Robertson, Alonso, Lamela, Maddison

And herein is the problem with us so often. Short term bursts of being good but so rarely sustained.

Can Lamela really be consistently good?
Wait, do you base your football opinion on fantasy football scores?

Our biggest problems right now are:

1) No suitable (meaning at least 90% as effective) cover for Eriksen
2) No suitable cover for Kane

It's not just for injuries: we literally cannot afford either of them to have a rough spell this year. We might cope without them against the smaller teams (and it is definitely a "might") but against any top-halfers, they are required.

All other positions I'd say we have reasonably covered, even with the zero signings, but these two are problematic.

Correct.

No alternative striker is criminal.

Beyond that look at the guy who went to Leicester.

I just don't know what we do inbetween windows or if the club has a credible scouting network.

Really weird how we seem incapable of finding players within budget.

The problems with Spurs is too many cunts looking for problems with Spurs...is there not enough shit going on in this fucked up world that they have to find fault in something that's supposed to be an escape from it...

I’d agree more than once if I could Arty.
The match thread yesterday, for example, was embarrassing - I just logged off rather than put the usual 4 or 5 twats on ignore. It won’t worry them of course, they identify ‘not caring what other people think’ as a strength.
I don’t know if this is a phase in the forum’s life or a terminal decline - hopefully the former.

That is slightly different from.standing aside from silly ctiticism to analysis of how we improve.

To suggest that we can"t be doing better in terms of transfer targets and equating it to aspects of yesterday's match thread is the same issue is a bit daft.

It's only a phase...three losses on the bounce emboldened the cunts into thinking they ran the place...

You miss my point, Spurs are one of the things we are meant to enjoy, I've been through enough shit in life to gain perspective on it and agonising about things that you can do fuck all about is wasted effort in my opinion...

Perspective is a big part of it I think. I love our club and have supported them long enough to see some great times and some really shit but at the end of the day its football.
Perhaps that's being a bit older, having a family, moving away where I'm not surrounded by Spurs or Woolwich fans but when I get frustrated after the result I don't bother reading online, don't get into pointless arguments about the whys and wherefores and just accept it for what it is.
