Just wondering... how many do Man City need to lose and us to win for us to be able to have a chance at the title? Or is it mathematically impossible

Literally the only way it can happen is if we win every remaining game and they lose every remaining game as the most points we can end up with is 85.

City are currently on 84.

Horrible thought.

City 1st
Man Utd 2nd
Chelsea 3rd
Spurs 4th

Liverpool win CL
Goons win EL

We miss out on CL.

Why the fuck do I have these horrible dark thoughts?!!

You should have added that we win the FA Cup in the process
According to some that would compensate for not qualifying for the CL

I know a good Counsellor!

Feel second is probably just out of our grasp as we stand.

My main focus from now on in will be hoping Chelsea beat the Dippers on the second to last weekend.

And cheering on Burnley every game.

You guys should be able to get top 4,even though Chelsea are slowly creeping up.I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Like us, Chelsea also have a game in hand on you. Unlike us, you have to play Chelsea in your penultimate game, so your lead is only 4 points on them if they win those two games. It'll be squeaky bum time for you if Chelsea make up any more points on you before you play them. If anyone should be worried about Chelsea (and honestly, no one should be because they're a mess) then it ought to be you, not us.

If we beat Chrissy's team tonight and Manure lose to Bournemouth, then there are 3 teams on 70/71 points and we have the best run in of the three. Despite losing to City, we can still make second.

I know people say second/third/fourth makes no difference, but for me getting second again shows that we are maintaining our position at the top (and makes for a nice pub question in 20 years time - "which team came second three years in a row before finally winning the Premier League in 2019")

3rd in 2015-16 I think, but would still make a nice question!
