In their defence, the thought had crossed my mind. He's obviously got an ego/attitude on him (but an aggressive one that works for us, more so than the apathy of ndombele). Something about the 'quotes' (who knows?) made me wonder if he can 'get it up' when he's not feeling it. For top money you want top professionals, the ability to perform consistently is part of that.
I think he'd be fine, but season 2/3? If we don't get CL? We'll see.

West Ham are a feeble little minded club who HATE us from the top down the bottom. It's hilarious. It's embarrassing. It's pathetic. But it is what it is. Apparently Bobby Zamora bottled moving from Brighton to Palace because they hate one another. That's bad. But the West Ham thing is funny because it's almost entirely one way. We just don't feel strongly about them.
IMO, the Chelsea things all kicked off with Arneson and Modric. Whilst there is mutual dislike between fans, there was definitely a big fall out between Levy and Abramovic when he poached Arneson and then later tried to tap Modric up.
I even think that in response to us flatly refusing to sell them Modric, they then actively took almost every half decent player we wanted whether they needed him or not.
I do wonder if there is a chance to deal now Abramovic has gone.
