You guys are on some serious hard shit if you think Eze coming has any semblance of being a realistic option for us. It seems like he wants the scum anyways.

Set unrealistic expectations, be severely disappointed. Literally setting it up for failure.
Agreed with a minor tweak. We are Spurs under Levy, we set realistic expectations only to be severely disappointed. The last sentence however is just peachy

More I calm down and think about it

Signing a player to cover an injury is never the sensible long term option

Maybe Danso could cover the no 10 playmaker role until Kulusexy is fit ?

I'd suggest Bergvall but he'll surely be covering left back

So who do we think will be the first one to justify no Maddison replacement when the window slams shut ?

Gotta be ol' fixxy surely

Le Parisien a decent outside bet though
I said we need another midfield passer before the Maddison injury. It’s now even more important.

So far our signings for the first team have had a strong bias towards PL experience. That would suggest Eze but he’s a gooner who wants Woolwich and palace won’t sell anyway.

MGW was perfect but that’s fallen through.

Who does that leave us with? Harvey Elliot? El Khannous?

Not amazing.

Otherwise we have to look for someone without PL experience. Akliouche would be my pick but he wants PSG and would cost serious money.

You been out for a beer with him then?

The Primary reason we won't get Eze is they want £68m up front and he will want £200k+ a week.

Levy can't offer to spread the payments over 5 yrs with 20% only being paid if we win the Champions league or some other bollox

As for whether if we put the money down Eze would turn us down like the goon links is entirely speculation.

Maybe Daniel has someone in mind for a promotion . Suddenly from nowhere a new apologist , someone young and full of energy will appear . The old guard have spent 25 years now at the Alamo defending Poundland John Henry , time for some new blood.

Said this weeks ago. Makes sense. Even as a loan.

Doubt we are going to spring tens of millions on another 10, when we’ll eventually have Maddison and Kulu back at some point.

Just my opinion that we won’t, not that we shouldn’t, before the fucking pitchforks come out.

How are you so sure that we will have Maddison back at some point?

He will get fit again but at 29, the chances of him being the same player are very remote

You just explained why I think it won’t happen, and sure the other links are speculation. I just think it’s amazing how we all know how this club functions and people STILL think we’re going to act in a way that is totally contrary to it.

There's no point talking about when Maddison comes back. The chances are that he either gets injured again sooner or later, or he simply isn't the same player.

Those two possibilities are far higher than, he comes back and performs well conssitently and becomes a dependable player for us.

He's basically suffered significant injuries every few months since he signed for us, he's made of glass.

So we need to sign one number 10 this window, and frankly another one. in January or next summer.

We aren't signing two this window, even though we need two. Fucking hell, we probably won't even sign one.
