Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Okay, personally speaking, I am not worried about them.
Mbeumo - he is real effing menace and I would have really liked Frank to take him with him to us. Sharp, explosive, direct.
Cunha - I don't know about him. He has something about him, but something in him does not sit well with me, I do believe he is overrated and will not live up to expectations.
Sesko- what?!? Sesko? Quite literally what the fuck has he done ? :D Like seriously, I get that he is fairly young. But his best season is 14 goals. In BUNDESLIGA ?!? Zero progress from 23/24 to 24/25 season too. After likes of Nkunku and Werner and lot other much more established strikers from Bundesliga flopping? He is never more than 40 mil player (and even with that they pay for potential of becoming something, not what he is now). ManU will pay 80 for him. Please much more of those to complete wastes of their resources.

I like Guessand better than Sesko right now but Sesko could be 1 season away from his ceiling which is crazy high because of the athleticism and technical ability he has.

They’ve brought 2 of the PLs best proven attackers and a striker with world class potential to compete with their other high potential striker.

They still don’t have legs in CM so will get run over but they will be a massive threat up front and it’s tough to watch us win the EL, quality for the CL but still not compete with them financially in the transfer window

Solanke and Richarlison as our 2 strikers is a shocking indictment if we are being absolutely honest.

Not the worst 2 by any stretch but not in the top 8 of striking options for PL teams in my opinion.

That strikes fear, only in the minds of Tottenham fans.

It must be remedied before the window closes.

It's a mad window from them after screaming poverty and sacking off the Europa league barbeque along with a bunch of non playing staff. Be interested to see how the rest of the window goes for them, they've gone full FIFA so far with attackers but watching them last year play us 4 times they've still got Onana, Deligt, Dorgu, Dallot, Maguire, Mason Mount and Ugarte as starters for them this coming season and as much as we've got weak spots in the squad they aren't that.

What strikes fear in my mind is that, regardless of who we have up front, we don't have any creativity to provide chances for them anyway.

Seems as though we're going to have to pin all our hopes on Kudus, who will no doubt suffer a 3 month injury lay off by close of September.

Levy is playing with fire, because it appears he is going to leave Frank well short

Solanke and Richarlison can't create their own goals, and neither has anything that stands them out, so it really isn't inspiring much hope, beyond a very average season PL-wise, if we are fortunate with injuries, and that's statistically unlikely.

I am genuinely surprised at how far we have been left behind the spending of the much stated 4.

Remember Daniel told us with a straight face ( both of them ) , that we have a special relationship with Real Madrid . He has just been waiting a decade or so to leverage it . This deal is as good as done , I am off to get his name on a shirt this very second . I suggest you all do the same , when he signs the rush for shirts with his name will be a stampede .

Before Ivan Toney arrived at Brentford, he'd played 154 games and scored 62 goals. Almost entirely in league one and league 2.
A goal every 2.5 games in the lower leagues is meh.
At Brentford - Mostly at PL level, a goal every 1.9 games. This includes a ban and playing for a club run on a budget.

Ollie Watkins was about 2.8 games per goal before Brentford. In his 3 seasons that dropped to 1.9 games in the 3rd of his 3 seasons.

Wissa and Mbuemo both increased outputs or at least at a higher level maintained it.

We should judge Solanke an Richie on what they do next, with coaching.

Should be us having the mad window

This is our opportunity to risk on a bit with CL incomes. But we never take opportunities to push the boat out, we search for opportunities to spend less on players because their value has dipped

It’s Madrid sources. They blatantly want him sold and probably using our name to encourage someone to bite.

We could probably agree a deal with Madrid but the player tell us to fuck off.

Im not so sure, the whole link seems so bullshit. As u say he wouldn't be interested in us.

52m thats laughable whether its true or not. Like even if its made up, why would anyone think of 52m as the fee?

Hes a 80m pound player in the current market, all day long.
