This is not aimed at you but we have an endless stream of excuses as to why we can't buy or sell decent players.
For years we were told they wouldn't come because we didn't have champions league......well that turned out to be bollocks.
Then we were told we couldn't sign decent players because we were building a new stadium......
Then we were told that we couldn't sign players because we didn't win anything......well as Europa League winners that's turned out to be bollocks......
No dig at you, but now it's supposedly because we finished 17th......
It's always Jam tomorrow with this fucking club - always, 'be patient and the new stadium will elevate us to the next level' - always a transition season.
It's a crock of shite.
The only person who doesn't have to wait to get his reward is Daniel Levy who is the highest paid chairman in the premier League (at least he was in 23/24)

Just over two weeks left of the window and Levy missing out as usual. The new manager should have been immediately backed up with new signings but Levy tells lies. We could have had Eze in ages ago but Levy sitting dormant waiting to the last day for a cheap option.

Now his fallback option might be us but look at us waiting until the end of the window with no real plan. We haven't shown any ambition and are clearly out of our depth going into the CL next year. The best cup we have any chance of winning is the fa cup - something Eze has already won at Palace. And to add insult to injury we'll offer him a contract on around 170k a week which would be close to 50k less than what Woolwich are considering offering.
That's why we dont get top players. No real plan. No real ambition to compete on all fronts. And we won't pay you what the other big teams will. Hence why we wonky get players that the other top sides don't want.
What is to be done to be deemed enough? Fact is these kids will never be given a proper chance to play games consecutively. We should be buying 150k+/week players and let these kids play in team of such players to learn and level up. Not 60k/week players who cost 40m each like Gray and Tel and robbed our kids of their game time. I'm sorry I shouldn't even call them kids anymore, but that's the perception we are always being fed with when academy players come to fore.
I'm starting to think Ange was sacked partly also because he played these kids too much, because Frank now could be following Levy's stranger order and sent all kids out instead, even Moore who did so well for us last season.

The player might want a challenge but he’ll also probably want another drink. If playing under the best coach in the world challenging for titles wasn’t enough motivation to not going on the piss constantly, not sure why playing under Frank for Spurs gets him there.
