Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

What is to be done to be deemed enough? Fact is these kids will never be given a proper chance to play games consecutively. We should be buying 150k+/week players and let these kids play in team of such players to learn and level up. Not 60k/week players who cost 40m each like Gray and Tel and robbed our kids of their game time. I'm sorry I shouldn't even call them kids anymore, but that's the perception we are always being fed with when academy players come to fore.

I'm starting to think Ange was sacked partly also because he played these kids too much, because Frank now could be following Levy's stranger order and sent all kids out instead, even Moore who did so well for us last season.
When did Moore do good for us? He had some tropical disease the first half of the season and I dont even recall him getting much gametime in the second half...

So desperate has it become that we are just plucking names out of the air in the hope that the people who are paid to find suitable players ,take heed. It's nonsensical.

One can only hope some serious and meaningful transfer activity is going to materialise,

It certainly beats reading who we should and should not be chasing.

Just over two weeks left of the window and Levy missing out as usual. The new manager should have been immediately backed up with new signings but Levy tells lies. We could have had Eze in ages ago but Levy sitting dormant waiting to the last day for a cheap option.
How do we get Levy out?
We play PSG on Wednesday and are fresh off a 4-0 defeat to Bayern. We've just sold one of our greatest ever players and all the talk is he won't be replaced. Our most creative player has just done his ACL and might not play at all this season.

And we've done nothing. We are just rolling over and given up by the looks of it. Levy has to go.

Mate we fans seem to identify players better then lange

It's not hard to find good players or sensible ones

Like woltemade its an opportunity now bayern are out but what do we do

The player might want a challenge but he’ll also probably want another drink. If playing under the best coach in the world challenging for titles wasn’t enough motivation to not going on the piss constantly, not sure why playing under Frank for Spurs gets him there.

No idea and sometimes it's also about the need to be the biggest fish in the pond.

We shouldn't be in such a situation is maybe something we can both agree on.

I still can't get over us giving Davies a contract extension and not signing a left back. It could go down as the most unforgivable Levy moment ever and my God its a long list.

Qualifying for the champions league in 2025 and going into the season with Ben Davies as an important squad player who could end up playing close to 50% of matches due to rotation and likely injuries. Absolutely insane. Imagine someone told you that back in 2019!
Chill. The system is the LB

There will be some aimed at levy but make no mistake, Frank will likely get just as much. Just look around in here to see the knives being sharpened already.
I think everyone appreciates that Frank has been given no chance by Levy and is just another guinea pig. Frank will come under pressure if we aren't scoring goals at home though. The stadium will be toxic if we are losing games at home 1-0 or 2-0. That's just how it works.

Frank will need to really change his style and work some miracles to make this work.

He played 10 games for us in the PL last season, half of those more than 30 minutes. And played in 5 games in the EL, 3 lasting close to the whole match. Didn't mean much for some perhaps, but his appearances were the most amongst the academy players, youngest at his age, and always trying to make things happen on the pitch. He could have had more games if not for his strange virus keeping him out for long periods.

The sad thing is that Frank will be told by Levy to just bin off the cups and focus on the league. He'll obviously say top 4/5 is the primary target but will prob be happy enough with top 7 as long as we qualify for europa and the gravy train continues.

Thats all we will ever be under Levy. Just aiming for top 4. That's why I made sure to enjoy our cup runs last year. I knew it would never happen again under Levy. We've never had the squad to compete in the league and cups and here we are again! Ben Davies playing champions league for us in 2025!!

Ange did it the other way around. He binned off the league and won us a cup and Levy hated every minute of it. We just can't win again under Levy. He has to walk.

The way we have no-one in midfield to take the ball off the defence when we’re pressed aggressively, this guy would be the ultimate release valve. Can just chip it over the press and he would secure it a decent amount. Way more than Richy or Solanke.

Chelsea will probably sweep him up into their dustpan of elite talents.

El Khannous (21) , Akliouche (23), Elliot (22), Mcatee (22) and Paz (20) all fit into our young midfielder with potential mould.

Hard to tell who will become the best of those at this stage. I guess this is where Lange and his data becomes relevant and Levy with the chequebook.
I haven’t seen Paz or Akikouche play other than highlight vids. Of the other three underwhelming choices I’d take Elliot, he seems the one with the most upside of those three. I’d rather try and get Eze plus one on that list.
Still not sure why we aren’t mentioned (read monitoring) with Paqueta

Caught up with my Dutch pal who supports PSV earlier. Apparently there's a fair bit of chatter going on between their fans that Joey Veerman will be off to the PL before the window closes. He reckons it'll be somewhere like Brentford, Brighton, Fulham...or Spurs.

Obviously he ain't ITK and neither am I, but thought I'd share.

Feels right up Levy's street the more I look at it, to be honest. He's 26yo, got experience in the CL and on the international stage, can play a variety of positions (6, 8 & 10)...but mainly you're looking at a 30 odd mil fee and wages round the 60k mark (he makes 30k pw at PSV).

Good player, I like him and I'd have him over Grealish and that McAtee lad. But does he move the needle? Not sure. Type of signing we should make for backups, not starters.
I really like this lad, mentioned him on here a few times an excellent passer.

But I just don't think he has the physicality for the prem.

Had an absolute horror show at the euros aswell with Netherlands and not sure if he's properly recovered from it as his output seems to have dipped significantly
