Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Dragusin hasn't shown anything to be considered good enough to play at this level. Being able to hoof it up while camping inside your own third doesn't constitute a good defender anymore, no matter he good is at it apparently.

If Frank wants to go with a back 3 on occasions, something I wouldn't blame him for as some of his personnel are so well-suited for it, then he doesn't have anybody other than the trio of yesterday to do so. And Davies I guess.

But he played almost the entirety of last season with a back 4 I think, so I don't think it's that big of a deal for him like it is for some other managers.
vusko would be interesting to watch in a back 3 with VDV and romero, put him in that side last night and we are probably best team in the world at set pieces.

100%. We all knew Frank can set up a team to compete with the big boys.

But what has he got against a low block? Saturday will be tough without Eze.

I think some of you are still under the Ange spell to some degree.
Our players will look better now they're getting coached.
We will have a plan to break teams down rather than perpetually pondering on the ball, taking too many touches in our own half, eventually work it out wide, get shut off, pass into the middle, back out wide, back into the middle, over to the other side, back into the middle, back to the CB, go long, lose the ball, concede.

We won't see that dogshit again.

If Burnley dig deep and defend the width of their box, we'll break them down with Danso's throws, Porro's corners, Kudus' pressure.

This season will be dramatically different to the blunt shit we've suffered for 2 years.

Very conflicting reports re-Eze. Spurs ITK's all hyping that Eze wants to come here but Woolwich ITK's also confident that he still wants them.

I still can't get my hopes up on this one. Be careful listening to the Tottenham side only as we saw with the MGW saga. Our media is biased towards us. For instance, here is another report from today which indicates that Woolwich are still ahead in the race.

The big advantage we have is there is a number 10 role he can own straight away. With the gooners he will have Odegaard.

Changing my user name to Neptune

Might change my name to Hades - god of the underworld and the dead.
I wanted to assign some of the goddess names to CarrieFi CarrieFi and Mrs Perryman Mrs Perryman but they're a bit too female-stereotypical for my liking.

Eze will very clearly go to whichever team pays the money Palace want.

Question is, can Levy bring himself to compromise in a deal where he doesn’t have all the leverage against the selling club?

The tactics won't work against Burnley. For starters Danso won't be playing. They'll have everyone back and will be delighted to defend set pieces and long throws. We'll need to have good possession patterns and dominate them in the final third to beat them. Its a totally different game.

And this has nothing to do with Ange. Under Ange you'd be worried about conceding 2 stupid goals and maybe drawing 2-2 but at least you know we'd be on the front foot all game and creating chances. Frank will target the clean sheet and will be thinking 1 or 2 goals will be enough. Frank's model and style is far more sustainable so this is not a dig. I'm just worried that on Saturday, with no creative midfielder if we'll struggle to create any chances.

You really are a melt.
I mean that in an affectionate way btw.

    Eze price too high

Neither Woolwich or Tottenham are willing to pay the asking price for Eberchi Eze this summer, according to reports.

David Ornstein of the Athletic claims that Crystal Palace would like a fee close to their £68m release clause of Eze – a figure that neither North London club is prepared to pay.

Ornstein claims that, for Woolwich, Eze has not gone from the agenda, but there will be considerations on the price, age profile and position he can play.

So if they won't pay it, why should we rush into it?

lol there is no way Frank is happy with the current squad
He is, said so to the press yesterday, here is a picture of him from the press conference.
