Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Worst thing is, I actually persuaded myself to believe this one.
#Me too....despite posting on here many moons ago in the midst of constant cries from others "we should go for Eze"etc...I put my 2 penneth in and declared "He's a gooner and not coming here, no chance "

Didn't even believe it when the news first broke that we'd started talks with Palace. Don't know wtf this transfer does to our rationale but I allowed myself to buy into the bs and now I'm paying for it.

Oh sure we can all put up the defence mechanism about his gooner preference but I really wanted to see him in a Spurs shirt.

It speaks for itself that nobody is even expecting levy to make a counter offer to palace and eze.

He could try to turn ezes head by offering him higher wages than Woolwich but we dont want to pay that sort of wages anyway.

And yet the media still think Levy is such a good role model chairman and can’t understand Spurs fans’ anger and hatred towards him.

Those paying the most expensive prices in world football deserve a Chairman and CEO who delivers the best results in world football.

What we have is yet another embarrassment of a transfer window with failed dealings all over the shop. No negotiating skill. No quality, class or expertise.

What we have is a lucky entitled fraud who has all the skill and commercial dexterity of an occasionally successful used car salesman.

Get out of our club.

Forgetting the fact Dibling is 19 nowhere near currently good enough and massively overpriced, he’s also a left footed RW rather than a 10 or a LW. Nobody making decisions at this club has a fucking clue what they’re doing

10th July - Spurs move for MGW. Deal falls through.

3rd August - Maddison injured.

19th August - After two weeks of negotiations, Eze on the brink of Spurs move.

20th August (am) - Havertz injury confirmed.

20th August (pm) - Woolwich sign Eze.
That's about the strength of it.

It's just a total shambles once again and a total embarrassment.

Levy has got to go and the match day fanbase should not rest until he does.
As for those wanting Mount, Mitoma for 75m and the rest of the medicore players being mentioned, please catch a grip and get out from under the enic spell that has been weaved for decades.
We are the 9th richest club in the world, we need to start acting like it and the first step is having a competent chairman and Levy ain't that. We were the club who signed players like Lineker, Gascoigne and Kilnsmann, but we have been convinced by enic that we are now below that level and must do with Rasiaks and Nelsons, wake up people we need these parasites out.

And again...

That. Makes. It. A. Worse. Look. For. Him. Too.

Regardless of the club dropping the ball or not, he could still wait and honour that agreement.

He's (apparently) choosing not to.

Why. Should. He. Give. A. Flying. Fuck

It is absurd to expect a player to have a non legally binding personal agreement sway his decision about the next 4-5 years of his career when gifted the choice between his boyhood club and their bitter rivals. I mean wtf, If anything, the fact that he agreed to us in the first place speaks of his professionalism. Had our club finalized the deal, however that needed to happen, he couldn't have reneged as the club would have made actual contractual agreements with us at that point. The deal between the clubs is predicated on the personal agreement with the player first and foremost as he still has his contract with his current club as leverage. The only exception, which we played our role in, was to allow a deal with another club to be struck which the player also agreed to. It's very simple.

If taking 90% of the window crunching the numbers and scouring the data only to end up negotiating with Palace for Eze the week AFTER his release clause expires didn't already give you a heads up on that...

It's not untenable, unfortunately. He'll be here 10 years from now while we're upset about the same thing. He makes them money, they don't have proper share holders to appease. No incentive for him to go.

Go onto Reddit and look at the airheads backing him. The majority of fans are fine with it. He's here to stay, nothing is changing and I bet any money we don't get those 3 players (quality 10 isn't a name, but you know what I mean).
