We've put ourselves in such a difficult position by letting this all drag out til the last week of the window

If we are genuinely trying to sign players then we've picked a very odd way to go about it

And the outcome looks dodgy either way , either end up overpaying for someone we don't need a la Sissoko

Or end up with no one and a woefully paperthin squad lacking creativity
 
We have clearly missed out on our prime targets and don't really fancy anything else in the market. That's the sad reality.

So do we punt on some players that Frank isn't sure on just to beef up the squad or just go into the season short? I guess we punt, but thats all we are doing now. Disaster of a window.
 
Savinho may happen because I'm sure City are happy to let him go (because they can get a much better player in Rodrygo) but they know Levy is a mug of the highest order so the 50m talk was knocked back with them pretending how much they want him to stay all the while leaving the door to his departure slightly ajar and with him ballsing up the Eze move we're more desperate than ever so 70m odd makes sense.

We could do a lot worse than Eriksen.

I think he could act as a stop gap until Kulusevski is fit.

That's what my NBA team have done, (Dallas Mavericks have signed D'Angelo Russell to cover Kyrie Irving, who will be back in January).

I thought we needed a number 10 before the injuries to maddison and kulu. love them both but some competition might do them some good. I like Paz. I've known about him from Real Madrid fans but I haven't seen him play. I would love Kenan Yildiz

If we can't get El Khannouss, I think we will sign Christian Eriksen on a one-year contract. Hell, Frank might even prefer this option if El Khannouss is his 3rd or 4th transfer target for the AM position. He might rather 'save' the money and get Eriksen on a free, and then get the proper AM he is looking for in January or next summer if nothing suitable is available now.

Btw, why do people think Akliouche is an AM? According to Transfermarkt, he played RW consistently last season.
