Get into your head that players have agency...... We were literally just turned down by Paz which completely shits over every thing you posted on the subject today.

If you have options and your stock is high (i.e Hincape); the only way you accept a bench/depth role is if you believe the club is already on the brink of league/CL success.

Slim pickings, and other than El Khannous and maybe Paqueta, none are really very realistic at this point. I’d love us to make a last push (preferably in secret to avoid being embarrassed) for MGW and pay over the odds if need be, as he looks fucking miserable to still be there, but it won’t happen.

Probably just gonna have to take BEK and hope he surprises us all.

He’s not a complete idiot. He’d have known fully well that Madrid wouldn’t let it happen.

But whilst he’s managed to fool a few naive Spurs fans into thinking that we actually tried, he’s also just made us look like total fucking losers for the third time this transfer window, damaging our reputation further due to receiving yet another public rejection.
