I think his credit in the bank in that regard has to be dwindling as well though, for the simple fact that it is now clearly obvious that there was absolutely zero intention on ENICs part to use all this magnificent new infrastructure to push us on to become one of the top football clubs in Europe. It is simply used to line Levy and ENIC’s pockets, nothing more.
Since we have moved into the new stadium we have stagnated if not gone backwards on the football pitch. We have been progressively finishing lower in the league, we are still operating at the same low level in the transfer market as we did pre new stadium and we are still paying scandalously low wages.
There are only 2 things that have increased since we moved into the new stadium; Ticket prices and Daniel Levy’s salary.
The “game changer” we were promised has been proven to be a bare faced lie.
You ask what is he clinging onto? The wads of cash is the obvious one. We are essentially a money printing machine for ENIC, with the caveat for them that it doesn’t even matter now how high we finish in the league, the money still rolls in due to the stadium.
Unless they receive an absolutely outrageous offer, why would they sell? The end of their reign is still far far away I fear.
This window is really shaping up to be another Levy shambles. Pre season just around the corner and while others strengthen Levy dithers, as per usual.

Which stats in particular? When I've watched him, he might nick a ball here and there, that being classed as a tackle or sometimes interception, but that's a very different thing to what most people would call "hard-tackling" - it's not as though he's a known tough guy bulldog type of tackler, the kind who would normally collect cards for fun. I'm not sure there is a stat easily available to measure that "destroyer" type of tackler, but having seen him play a few times, that's not his game at all.
