Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Get rid of Son and Richarlison.

Bring in Eze and Semenyo/Mbuemo.

Get rid of Bissouma. Add in a 6 who can come straight in and that’s good business.

Otherwise one in and one out. Eg Romero leaves then we need a replacement.

Tel reminds me of a young R9

Excellent signing !

With the high likelyhood of Son, Richy, Werner, Solomon, Veliz all being gone this summer, it's extremely fatalistic to be predicting we won't sign any more attacking players now we have made Tel perm......

Especially given the main trf window isn't even open yet.
Read the post Airfixx I didn’t say we wouldn’t sign anymore attacking players, I said we’re not going to go out and sign 2 high level starting wide players in addition to Tel…..

That seems a rather rational position when considering the recent history of our transfer windows.

My comment had more than just your post in mind..... A vast amount of the reaction so far centers around what I initially described.

.....Tel doesn't change much at all in terms of "what else next".

That seems a rather rational position when considering the recent history of our transfer windows.

60-70m is evidently a market we're prepared to operate in (Ndom, Richy, Solanke) and is also the market in which the likes of Eze etc. reside so I'm inclined to wait and see.

.....If we get a big fee for Son (Saudi only obv.) then it's game on I'd have thought.

Son - 50m (or more? It's hard to tell... SA are nuts)
Solomon - 15/20m
Richy - 20m (perhaps more?)
Veliz - 5m (?)

= A lot of the financially heavy lifting done.

Whilst the broad sentiment of this I do agree with, the problem we have is that Tel’s signing will inevitably impact our desire to go out and sign other attacking players.

We need 2 new starting wide players; Son is either going or washed and Johnson just isn’t good enough for the level we aspire to be.

Now we have Tel, we’re not going to go out and sign (for example) Eze and Mbeumo which would be absolutely game changing for us.

For that reason this does feel a little underwhelming based on what we’ve seen from Tel thus far.

For me the outs this summer will free up space for depth and quality to be added.

Bissouma and Richarlison are musts to move on, Sonny sadly it just makes sense for all parties now. Kulusevski's injury is anything from a 6-12 month recovery I read somewhere, we had 1 backup fullback for 2 fullback positions, we've shifted Werner already, there will be loans out, I'm certain for Mikey Moore.

I'm with you, I'm all for Tel on board but not at the expense of the quality needed in key areas still being overlooked and that includes in Tels position.

I'd like to see Frank develop him not just LW but as a backup FWD also.
