Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

So, if we are looking for a right winger as in Mbuembo and we don't get him. Who are other options people like?
Bakayoko? Kubo? names we've been linked to in other transfer windows. Who you got in mind?

Not seen much of him this season and his stats haven't looked to good but I do like bakayoko.
There's really not many high performing established rw out there that we could go get.
Actually, I'd say our best bet may be madueke.

Find solanke a bit underwhelming tbh. Bit injury prone as well as is maddison. Need a top striker and healthy competition in all positions. Need competition for udogie as well. Id have that etkite but not sure he will go elsewhere.

Wish people.would stop throwing the term injury prone around in this context. He picked up a couple this season but looking throughout his career this is not the case one bit

It's way too easy for people to write players off before they've even really gelled or hot going. Signed him when he was 19 had hardly played any football during the season. 20 year old kid who has enough quality to be worth rolling the dice on.

20 years old, it may or may not work out bur the ability to develop is clearly there with some time, coaching and hopefully a good spell in the team once he's properly up and running
Whilst the broad sentiment of this I do agree with, the problem we have is that Tel’s signing will inevitably impact our desire to go out and sign other attacking players.

We need 2 new starting wide players; Son is either going or washed and Johnson just isn’t good enough for the level we aspire to be.

Now we have Tel, we’re not going to go out and sign (for example) Eze and Mbeumo which would be absolutely game changing for us.

For that reason this does feel a little underwhelming based on what we’ve seen from Tel thus far.

Im perpetually confused by the anti ange cult who think he is the worst manager the prem has ever seen but also are judging players performances under that context

Surely you all must understand that??

Youre basing this on your opinion of him playing half a season under a coach who you dont rate one bit.

Sarr, Udogie, Romero, VDV, Bergvall, Gray, porro all do not back up your claim whatsoever.
The jury is out on at least 3 of the players you have listed there

Counting them as successes is quite the stretch

And let me put this to you.

Richarlison 60m
Johnson 50m
Dragusin 25m
Gil 30m
Royal 25m

List is endless

If we have £70m for Mbeumo then we have £70m for a top forward. The club should if Mbeumo falls through hit Semenyo or Eze, I appreciate Eze is a slightly different kind of player but still one that can significantly improve us.

The 'clever and grown up' nickname doesn't even work.

Biss doesn't rhyme with shit.

Bissouma doesn't even start with S.

I've seen our players called some pathetic names by some pathetic posters but even I admit some of them are clever word play.

You haven't even got that.

And the guy, for all his faults, was integral to our Europa win. I wish him well.

Not everything has to rhyme mate. I'm not fucking MC Hammer. It's not that deep.

The stone cold fact is that Shittsouma lives up to his nickname. The fact that he didn't shit the bed in one game doesn't make up for two years of abject performances. It's not personal, I just think he's a shit footballer.

With the high likelyhood of Son, Richy, Werner, Solomon, Veliz all being gone this summer, it's extremely fatalistic to be predicting we won't sign any more attacking players now we have made Tel perm......

Especially given the main trf window isn't even open yet.

Now do pretty much every single other team in the prem.

Most teams buy players all the time that turn out meh

Also Johnson (our top scorer) and Draguisn I don't buy until I see them under Frank and I have no idea how you can say with confidence that they are not successes until you see them play under a manager you dont think is the worst we have ever had.

It literally makes no sense.
