not really going by stats as I don’t know but when I’ve watched him, his crossing in particular is pretty good. Can shape a cross at pace well and looks to try and pick people people out when he gets to the byline. He’s not a head down dribble and smash it into a defenders shin type of wide player.
He’s good, better than Mbeumo technically on the ball imo and in our games against both of them I’ve always been more impressed by Semenyo, he caused us more problems in general play and effected the flow and momentum of the game more than Mbeumo, although Mbeumo scored he really didn’t do a lot else in the games, he doesn’t have much mobility off the ball too, whereas Semenyo seems like he works really hard presses great.
I like Mbeumo as he’s a handful in transition but I’m not convinced in a different team he’s hitting anywhere close to those numbers and he doesn’t have loads to fall back on with the other parts of his game.
Yeah, Mbuemo is attractive because his contract is running down, the headline of 20 goals, and knowing Frank’s system, but there is an argument that Semenyo plays more positions and could help us more in settled possession with his dribbling. Just wish he was left footed.
I like this, nicely put and very informative. I suppose the only upside to mbeino is having worked with Frank and knowing each other well.
Semenyo being 2 footed and more of a dribbler, ball carrier is something we need in the front line and lack.
However, semenyo or simons for 60m is entirely different. Simons for me.
Eze is so difficult simply because of the amount being outlayed at once.
IMO, it's gotta be Eze + one of Mbeumo/Semenyo.
I don't think there's that much between Mbeumo and Semenyo.
Their transfer fees would likely be similar... although Semenyo's wage demands might be (significantly?) less???
Semenyo is a tank; 6" taller and 6 months younger than Mbeumo, and, anecdotally, I've always thought Semenyo has looked more dangerous against us than Mbeumo has.
I think either player improves our squad immensely, but my gut is leaning towards Semenyo... particularly in regards to Champions League competition... I think he has a higher ceiling than Mbeumo.

FWIW, Semenyo has better defensive stats (interceptions, tackles, headed clearances, etc.) in 10%< minutes than Mbeumo.
Same here. Also the fact that BM even considered Man U mostly I think for the money and we’ve nearly forced the move towards us means maybe he won’t be quite as into the project as semenyo. Totally agree there’s maybe something a bit extra about semenyo from what I’ve seen. Both an upgrade though.

Cheers, yeah it’s hard to know for sure how players are going to do at different clubs.
Haven’t seen lots of Simmons, a bit at the Euros and some other games here and there, he looks a good player, but maybe lacking a bit of explosiveness/pace and power for the style of player he is for the premier league? and he had a bad knee injury last year. For me, more risky than the other two.
Love Eze. So good to watch. Just a class player but he did disappear a bit at the start of the season. Had a great end, he does switch off off the ball sometimes though. Think he’s probably worth that fee even if it’s one sum.
Bayern do. They paid Olise's release clause up front. Barca will find a way to pay Williams release clause up front.
They take out a loan and soak up the interest.
We either can't or won't do that.
Levy only takes out loans for property.
I could see it being
Semenyo and Bardghji if they see Kulusevski as a 10.
or
Semenyo and a left footed 10 like Paz if they think Kulusevski plays RW.
Shame neither of those clubs ponied up with the money before we beat them to two targets recently then ey

Hazard scored 20 league goals in France aged just 20. First season at Chelsea he scored just shy of 15 goals across all comps. Then got 17 & 19 the following two years.
Good player but never worth 50 mil.
But you never know, he's done his hammies & adductors so he's perfect for us really.
