Malteser head is still rubbing his grubby hands together
Nor was Watkins, Toney or WissaMbuemo wasn't Mbuemo before Thomas Frank got hold of him, let's remember that.
not really going by stats as I don’t know but when I’ve watched him, his crossing in particular is pretty good. Can shape a cross at pace well and looks to try and pick people people out when he gets to the byline. He’s not a head down dribble and smash it into a defenders shin type of wide player.Semenyo's not even had a breakout season & he is wasteful infront of goal & crossing
Ps 100000% agree for tha price Solanke is no way worth 65m,
Yeah, Mbuemo is attractive because his contract is running down, the headline of 20 goals, and knowing Frank’s system, but there is an argument that Semenyo plays more positions and could help us more in settled possession with his dribbling. Just wish he was left footed.not really going by stats as I don’t know but when I’ve watched him, his crossing in particular is pretty good. He’s good, better than Mbeumo technically on the ball imo and in our games against both of them I’ve always been more impressed by Semenyo, he caused us more problems in general play and effected the flow and momentum of the game more than Mbeumo, although Mbeumo scored he really didn’t do a lot else in the games, he doesn’t have much mobility off the ball too, whereas Semenyo seems like he works really hard presses great.
I like Mbeumo as he’s a handful in transition but I’m not convinced in a different team he’s hitting anywhere close to those numbers and he doesn’t have loads to fall back on with the other parts of his game.

FWIW, Semenyo has better defensive stats (interceptions, tackles, headed clearances, etc.) in 10%< minutes than Mbeumo.A big goal spike, yeah, but in general Mbeumo has had more end product throughout recent PL seasons in terms of goals, assists, xG, xA and so forth.
Semenyo is two-footed, more physically robust, and of course, he's cheaper in fee+wage terms.
Same here. Also the fact that BM even considered Man U mostly I think for the money and we’ve nearly forced the move towards us means maybe he won’t be quite as into the project as semenyo. Totally agree there’s maybe something a bit extra about semenyo from what I’ve seen. Both an upgrade though.IMO, it's gotta be Eze + one of Mbeumo/Semenyo.
I don't think there's that much between Mbeumo and Semenyo.
Their transfer fees would likely be similar... although Semenyo's wage demands might be (significantly?) less???
Semenyo is a tank; 6" taller and 6 months younger than Mbeumo, and, anecdotally, I've always thought Semenyo has looked more dangerous against us than Mbeumo has.
I think either player improves our squad immensely, but my gut is leaning towards Semenyo... particularly in regards to Champions League competition... I think he has a higher ceiling than Mbeumo.
Cheers, yeah it’s hard to know for sure how players are going to do at different clubs.I like this, nicely put and very informative. I suppose the only upside to mbeino is having worked with Frank and knowing each other well.
Semenyo being 2 footed and more of a dribbler, ball carrier is something we need in the front line and lack.
However, semenyo or simons for 60m is entirely different. Simons for me.
Eze is so difficult simply because of the amount being outlayed at once.
So no one has 60 mil up front for Eze.
I’m beginning to think football is just a giant ponzi scheme
Levy only takes out loans for property.Bayern do. They paid Olise's release clause up front. Barca will find a way to pay Williams release clause up front.
They take out a loan and soak up the interest.
We either can't or won't do that.

Nah with Levy at the helm once again, we won't have to regret anything about this window. Man gonna spoil us as always.
I don't even rate Sesko that much by the way.Sesko will cost 70m. He’s not worth close to that. Tel will score more goals than Sesko this season if he comes to the PL
Hazard scored 20 league goals in France aged just 20. First season at Chelsea he scored just shy of 15 goals across all comps. Then got 17 & 19 the following two years.I agree for the price quoted. But quite often with these types of players adding goals in a big number is the last and final step to there development. Quite often these player types have it all apart from goals then it suddenly clicks for them. Hazard was abit like this in that sense, brilliant player but took time to get that serious output.
From what I have read and the little I have seen of him he may be worth half of that free quoted...
