Palace ain't taking nothing other than the vary majority up front, they did exactly the same thing when they sold Olise...Bayern had to cough up the full £50m.

Putting down the £60m that Palace want is putting a lot of clubs off, that and the fact he's literally out of contract in 2 years.

We can borrow money, plenty of clubs have done it before. We choose not to.

Its putting clubs off yes but its not a difficult thing to do if we wanted to do it. Combination of wages, injury record,fee (plus financing cost)and age putting people off i reckon.

I think there's a massive over obsession with Eze anyway, a 6 is more important in our team than Eze IMO.

Any club paying a spanish or Portuguese release fee puts down the full amount in one go in order to trigger it, its fairly common to pay a fee in one hit, 60 m is a high one but not unheard of.

Both options have same effect on your transfer budget, but you have either bought 4 players on 1 player for same money this year.

Everything I’ve seen says, £60M upfront + £8M in “performance-related add-ons.”

We seem to be getting linked with attackers when our number one need is a number 6. I’ve always believed good sides build around a great number 6. What we need is Kante and a Time Machine.

Surely we need to develop / integrate dorrington, Phillips and the Croatian at some point otherwise what is the point of buying young players or having an academy. We really treat our academy players badly. Not one from the title campaigns previous season has been given a chance.

That’s a baseline level of ambition for those targets

Hopefully a loan for Alfie as well. We have not seen him in a spurs shirt really. Other expensive youngster have had far much more game time but not our academy. Looks a very good technical player reminds me of schokes the way he strokes the ball. We really need to see our academy given a chance. You know in 5 years time we will be buying them back to meet HG quota.
