Yes but we are nowhere close to Liverpool on the way we structure wages.

They can sign players that we can’t because of our wage structure and hard ceilings on total transfer cost.

I would say Nunez and Szoboszlai are the only players they have bought in recent seasons whos fee and wages might be outside our current scope.

Please list specifically the players they have purchased and the exact structure of wages and total 'transfer cost' you are referring to?

Diaz is apparently on £55k a week. £55k not £155k
Nunes £140k
Mac Allister £150k

So some are well within our wages and some are at the higher end of what we pay, but we do pay it.

I don't see how we can't compete financially with Liverpool.
Unless you buy Levy's shit.

For the most part, we can.

Except 400k a week for Salah, who, without, let's be very very clear, they would not have won the league last year

Richard Arlison Richard Arlison is just lost inside an argument he doesnt know how to get out of.

They just bought Wirtz for 100+ mil and 200k+ pw

Salah is the only core member of their team that we could have signed.

Virgil and Alisson were deals way outside the scope of Levynomics

Mane went there because Levy wouldn’t pay his wages.

And as you just mentioned Nunez and Szoboszlai were too players they just signed
that were outside the scope of Levynomics.

Gravenberch was 40m and 5 years of 150k pw. They signed him as a squad piece #8. He became the starting 6 later.

You’ve literally proved the difference between Liverpool and Levynomics in your own post.

Stick a fork in you mate, you’re done

He wasn't on that when they signed him. In 2017 he was on £120k
I think we would up the wages of someone as critical and prolific as that. Maybe not as high as that but then not many teams could buy a player and pay them that anyway. So swings and roundabouts.

Basically summed him up in a nutshell. Zeroes in on something and then argues fucking relentlessly.
I can be guilty but I back down when I'm wrong. He/she/it just argues for the sake of arguing. Trolling IMO.

So these are games when we might be losing players to Afcon :

9-10/12/25 Champions League matchday six
13/12/25 Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham 3pm
15/12/25 Carabao Cup fifth round
20/12/25 Tottenham vs Liverpool 3pm
27/12/25 Crystal Palace vs Tottenham 3pm
30/12/25 Brentford vs Tottenham 8pm
03/01/26 Tottenham vs Sunderland 3pm
07/01/26 Bournemouth vs Tottenham 8pm
10/01/26 FA Cup third round
12/01/26 Carabao Cup semi-final first leg
17/01/26 Tottenham vs West Ham 3pm
20-21/01/26 Champions League matchday seven (first games after afcon finals)

So we might be losing the Afcon players for a DOZEN games !
Just for the record, Mbeumo's Cameroon and Wissa's DR Congo both qualified for AFCON but Kudus and Semenyo's Ghana and Yankuba Minteh's Gambia did not.

Shocker for Ghana to not even qualify I'd imagine.
