Don’t you realise that really it’s your continual insulting of other posters that really gets their goat…..goat 😂😂Just try being polite and stop insulting others….no need for it.

The insight of that Ali Gold cretin:

“From what I understand, there’s nothing more than interest at this stage from Tottenham," said Gold.

"Sometimes when I get told that by various people, it’s because the club have got an inkling that they want to go elsewhere.

“It could just be the finances aren’t quite where they want them to be at this stage of the window, or it could be a variety of things – I’m not saying it’s one of those things.

“Presumably there will be more to it, and it will come out in the fullness of time, or maybe that’s just the case for now and they do kick into gear and make a move for him.”
Could that translate to; the miser has shit the bed regarding what Palace and Eze want so he is setting up multiple deals for the September window closure countdown?

I mean both Kudus and Simons have been widely reported in the press as malcontents, but sure.

With the big disastrous exception of Ndombele, the quality of characters Spurs have purchased in recent years has generally been pretty good, so that part of the club's research in recruitment deserves a bit of trust I guess.

They’re not great at footy but you’d trust them with your daughter.

But has that one disaster left us frightened to take a risk with any player of dubious reputation again? You can understand why it would, but at the same time it could hold us back from making good signings. :/ Guess we just have to hope that those recruiting do all they can to get into the real psyche of the target player...

And to be clear, Ndombele's lack of desire to be a professional footballer is a different problem than Simons being arrogant with an overinflated view of himself.

But either way you must be mindful of the character of the people you're investing in.

Simons and Kudus have both not been as coveted by the very top clubs despite their talent level. Are the biggest clubs wrong about these guys? Are we willing to bet 60M that they're wrong? Risky business. And yet, nothing risked nothing gained.

The best players need to have an over inflated opinion of themselves.

Simons has signed for Barca and PSG, he’s been one of the most coveted young players in the world for years. Even RBL only sign players that have world class potential

So I bugger off out for a while to watch the littlun do a band performance and come back to 5 or 6 pages. Ooh exciting.

Nope, just a 3 to 5 way cunt off.

As you were.

That he’s played as a 10 for Ajax and Ghana, played as RW for everyone, and has superb touch and technique and is hard to dispossess so could definitely fit the profile of a false 9.
His touch looks loose to me sometimes. Even in those clips showing his best bits there’s alot of miss controls, lot of stretching for the ball while he’s dribbling. Just looks very raw and not fully in control, a lot of them clips cut out after he’s beaten someone, I’m guessing as he’s trying to do too much or taken a bad touch after or not seen a pass. Watched half a dozen full games and really not sold at all. Work with a West Ham fan who doesn’t rate him either and not just about his attitude.

He's better than Kulu was in his last season at Juve though.

That Elliott is older matters of course, but it's a similar principle where this is a young talent who just isn't quite managing to force himself into one of the best teams in the world but could clearly emerge if given the opportunity.

I think he’ll do well wherever he goes. Just don’t want that to be with us because I don’t think he’s better than ever we have right now
