Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Chelsea game was in November you "numpty". Ah yes the Forest game where we subbed both off at half time to protect them.

Wow you really proved a strong point here. We clearly were going strong in the league all season. Thanks for clearing this all up.
What the Chelsea game we played in April? Game Week 30 that we lost 1-0? That game was In November, was it?

You claimed he didn't start either of them in the league after January. You were wrong. Clown.

Oh yes. That game came after an 19 day break in between games because of the international break and the FA cup weekend coming after it.. Only reason we fielded a strong team.

Already addressed this.

There were very little in the way of rumours before the signings were imminent.

For example Odobert came out of nowhere and Gray was hijacked last minute.

Based on last summer I wouldn’t take the silence as we’re not working on anyone.
Gray surely was BS as were we interested in him before Brentford showed interest? If we were why wouldn’t we have gone in for him earlier and perhaps at a lower price. We only piped up after Brentford had agreed a deal for £35M.

I'm not sure about that.

Eze doesn't fit ENIC's M.O. due to his age.

Eze's value will continually depreciate and his wages will be excessive.

Woolwich have probably had to pay more for Eze, in respect of the fee and wages, due to Spurs 'interest' in the player.

Having a Goon director on our team is probably leading to some political moves with the knowledge of their intentions that he has brought with him.

I doubt we were ever serious about buying Eze.
eze doesn’t fit enics MO? Solanke?

Levy is the issue, because he won't pay the wages that help us compete with the likes of Woolwich. I think the fact that the likes of Woolwich, Liverpool, Chelsea and United are all showing ambition while we do absolutely nothing is what's winding me up the most this window. We're doing nothing to close the gap between those sides.

Eze walks into our team. We should be in a position to trigger the release clause and offer wages that would convince him to join. Instead, we'll buy two average players for a similar total amount, on lower wages, then we'll be talking about how we can improve them in 12 months.
Eze wages wouldn’t be that high.

Similar profile to Udogie. Would allow Frank to play his lopsided 3 at the back allowing Porro/Spence the freedom to get forward.

Makes a lot of sense but can Spurs pull it off ?
He was cheap as chips a few years ago because he failed a medical at Milan on TDD for a heart issue.

Makes you wonder if he's all-clear enough now to pass one as a (probably) quite expensive player

"Fightinglllini claims"

:mourweird:
Of all of your laughable troll bullshit, constantly pointing out that the fanbase always treats every target as essential and worth paying any sum to close the deal on is the one I have the most patience for since it's so undeniably true and it is a useful corrective to look back and be like "actually just paying up for Saido Berahino would have been a fucking disaster".

But I was here for the Traore stuff and it was widely considered insane to pay the quoted 40M for a player with such obvious limitations.

Wonderful player. Never, ever stops running, he's everywhere.

When have we ever gone wrong signing an American from Fulham? :dempsey:

The club got scared off Nusa by fucking Brentford, even if he never signed for them in the end. The club actively runs from bidding wars; if you see us and another club seriously linked then you already know we won’t get him.

We backed off from Nusa cos it became clear he had back problems..... Presumably why Brentford also backed off soon after.

It's really quite insulting to be accused of being a troll, not least because it was you who quoted my post in a way that added nothing but attempting to get a reaction. I don't know why you, and a few others, can't have a discussion without putting on some arcspace-like behaviour of "laughable" and "bullshit" trigger words. I'm surprised the words "maggot" and "gooner" weren't accompanying the 'troll' moniker.

The point is that pretty much every source at the time and since said it was £50m, and the vast majority of SC, Twitter, and Reddit were full of fans saying we should 'back the manager' and 'stop penny pinching', all because of taking leave of sense and wanting that dopamine hit for a new signing on TDD. It doesn't matter if people thought it was 'insane', it is still a pattern - a link will be dropped, people are underwhelmed, say he isn't worth it... then time passes and people start to chomp at the bit and end up convincing themselves it is a good idea, then will eventually blame the club for not doing something they originally identified as dumb as fuck.
