The only defender that is absolutely 'irreplaceable' at our club is Micky Van de Ven imo. Romero is very good though on his day and at least worth £60m in today's market. If he really wants to go? Good luck!

True. I'd like us to keep Romero, but if the rumours are true that he wants to go then it's for the best that we take £65-70m if we can get that. TBH I think it's a bit pathetic of Romero. Guy never proved himself in the PL.

I'm not so sure Spence did improve under Ange tbh. He wasn't given a chance previously, but had shown at Forest, and in the few minutes he had, that he was very good. He tailed off a bit in the final 1/4 of last season. Very good player tho

Agreed. He has real potential in that position. Sometimes need to play quicker IMO
Probably a good time to sell him, great player but we need someone who can play 34/35 of the league games a season.

Again no point hiring a coach who is known to get the most out of players if you're gonna sign over the hill players for him especially on a short term basis.

I think 38 points under Ange was a misleading points tally . However I think we are deluding ourselves if we think this squad it top 5 and CL campaign competitive .
I think we could have got 55-60 points max last season if everyone was fit . Son is on a rapid decline sadly so by the end of the coming season he is two years older than when we finished 5th . I accept a couple of our kids have further improvement in them though.
The big issue is , the clubs that the fans aspire to compete with and Levy pretends he wants to compete with have strengthened massively.
We are light years away from being competitive, meanwhile just like Nero, Levy fiddles whilst Spurs burns
Silly saying as the violin had not been invented when Nero was Emperor of Rome .
I want to win the CL and PL is him pretty much trolling the fanbase now .

Yes i agree but IMO udogie is a very good LB. I know some don't rate him that high but destiny is too good to be displaced and benched and Robinson is too expensive for rotation.

Made my feelings on Postecoglou and his coaching staffs abilities clear over the last 15 months and some players will now improve. But this squad lacks quality depth, leadership and losing doesnt hurt the majority enough, we saw that last season. It needs a lot of work. I like Frank but he's not a miracle worker. He isnt going to make Bissouma consistant or Richarlison fit or Son 4 years younger.We didn't finish 17th because of crap players though.
