So where do we go when seemingly our 3rd choice Kudus inevitably goes to Chelsea? Harvey Elliott, Bakayoko, Dibling? Or do we just not bother. Yet again its all starting to feel very 2018.
I would rather have Harvey Elliott instead of Kudus anyway. He fits with what we are trying to build and the potential upside is huge. With the Jota tragedy I doubt if Elliott is going anywhere now though.

Levy kept the last manager on for 2 whole years when he probably deserved around 18 months of that

How many managers have we hired under ENIC are actually sacked by Xmas during their first season? Seems like it's said more and more by our fanbase but it's a forced narrative.
The crowd will turn him on quickly (Levy) is Frank has a tough start. We narrowly avoided relegation, fluked a CL windfall and the little bastard is still dithering

Mate the person responsible for that is gone.

Levy doesn't spend £10m to get Frank out of his contract, hire pretty much his, while backroom staff only to kick him out at the first sign of trouble.

We'd literally have to be bottom of the league for anything like that to happen.

The players are still here. I don’t know why people think this group have a right to be top 6. We don’t have a midfielder or attacker that can control a football and play, apart from Maddison. Painfully average.

Romero goes and we could just be bottom

Seriously for years I assume people who only watched this blokes highlights wanted him. I've seen him on TV and live in Turin and Milan. He isn't a player we should go anywhere near. Sesko, Simmons, Oshimen, these players improve us. This boy slow Serbian is only half the player Mitrovic was he's Chris Woods not on his worldy season..
Yep , steer well clear , the guys a donkey

Darren Anderton look a like, Serbian Donkey 100%.

He’s not even a shit Chris Wood, he’s Grzegorz Rasiak with a good agent.

I'd really like to see some links to a proper 6, a DM,

I'm not even THAT fussy! obviously someone like Wharton would be the dream but any of Ederson, Agoume, Doulas Luiz, Stiller, Joao Paulinha, Hjulmand

any of them!

Sorry who mentioned finshing top 6?

Also the vast majority of these players were here when we finished 5th the season prior.

A sensible take who take the average of the past 2 seasons and at worst predict that we'd finish mid table which is significant progress over last season is it not?

i am all aboard the Kudus train despite my misgivings. If we fail to land him then it will be like Neto when he didn’t come and we got Odobert. I never get fans who cheered for not getting Neto or Gallagher as they are better than our alternatives and what we have and there is a reason we wanted them so when we fail we end up with worse.

Kudus at least can hold up the ball, ball carry and dribble which none of our other players can do consistently so he does offer a completely different tool kit.

Best we can hope for from ENIC is Kudus, a half decent DM and one of Walker-Peters or Cirkin. If we get that it’s an 8/10 ENIC window and 4/10 window for most other big teams. I suspect we will fail though on at least one of our targets be it Kudus or the DM.
According to Peter O’Rourke Evann Guessand is the Kudus alternative.

Unpopular opinion on Kudus but I actually think the Tottenham board are right to play hard ball here. West Ham are desperate to sell to anyone else and just offering him around. To please their own supporters they are reporting that there will be "a Tottenham Tax".

As much as we might want Kudus, we cannot let little west ham pull our pants down. Work on other targets and if we miss out on Kudus then so be it..

The elephant in the room is West Ham are desperate to sell Kudus and will want this done ASAP so they can reinvest the money into their squad.. They cannot afford to let this drag on until August. My guess is if nobody else comes in then we'll get him for 50m in the next 2 weeks. In the meantime West Ham are going to try everything to get someone else to bid for him or try panic Spurs into bidding more.

Yeah we might get hijacked and miss out on him but that's possible either way. Wouldn't it be so sweet to embarrass West ham by getting him for the initial 50m 2 weeks later. Especially after they gave it the big one with the Tottenham tax. Let's make them look so small.
