He’ll become a real target for us if his price drops 15-20m more. Can’t convince me that Kudus was a real target for us anyways.
Net spend yes, wages no.For what it's worth, we have a higher net spend the last two seasons than Chelsea does.
That's not to forgive ENIC's leadership nor the utter disgrace of the fake women's team sale being allowed to count on Chelsea's books, it's just to point out how generating a ton of money from player sales has been critical to their operation, and will need to continue to be.
What the fuck Woolwich is doing paying over the odds for their players is utterly beyond me.
Can’t convince me that Kudus was a real target for us anyways.
West Ham trying to make a big public bidding war out of this to fund their business.
It’s just shite mate.Seems more like cornering the market, and starving out your rivals. It’s fucking bullshit of course, but there is no body or power apparently capable of punishing their strategy or exerting oversight on their activities, however wasteful or harmful they are to the legitimacy of the game.
True, though buying younger players to limit wages (on a per-player basis, not in the aggregate) has been a part of Chelsea's strategy too.

They won't want to wait until August to sell him. They'll want to reinvest them funds. Good chance Chelsea aren't in a position to pay much upfront too. They surely have cash flow issues given all their recent signings. West Ham will want most the money upfront.
That's exactly what's happening and West Ham are creating all this noise. Its all their sources reporting this. Spurs are happy to wait it outSounds like we put an offer or £50 in.
Now Spammers are praying for Chelsea’s money.
I didn't
Agreed. Type of player and character we missI’d have Gallagher! All action, gets around the pitch, puts a foot in, can break up play well and has a few goals in him
That is not what a single person in this thread is complaining about and you know it.
And I get so fucking fed up of “just spend some money”. Pity for us both. That is not what a single person in this thread is complaining about and you know it.
I get so fucking fed up with the "oh, I'm not one of THOSE football supporters" shit.
And I get the general theme of us needing to strengthen. That’s very understandable.
Bro, come on.
Well said. Can't just start overpaying and let West Ham rip us off for a player they are desperate to sell. Let Chelsea come in with a stupid offer of they want.So much melting over us not paying £60m for Kudus. A player that is average in a shite team. A player that’s been barely mentioned on this forum before 10 days ago. Is everyone so desperate for the dopamine hit of a signing that we’re now demanding a club record fee be spent on Mohammed fucking Kudus?
Settle down for fucks sake.
