Doesn't superseding Johnson with Kudus just create a different problem at RW rather than make out starting XI better?

In simple terms I'd have sought to sell and replace Son (starting LW) & Richarlison (back up ST good enough to give Solanke a challenge).

I think signing Tel complicates our position somewhat if he's seen as LW and not a back-up ST...... I'd welcome a new main LW-er, but Eze isn't a bonafide LWer (and I don't recall us linked to anyone else on that side); whilst it feels like we have over-recruited on developing LWers (Moore, Odo, Tel, Yang).

Imo there's a benefit of having two players with different skill sets at RW. Against teams who sit back, Kudus could be a great option with his dribbling ability. Against teams who press high and leave space in behind, Johnson could exploit it with his pace.
Really glad we've put in a bid for him, and the player is prioritising us over Chelsea. Let's hope we get this through.

I thought signing Solanke was expecting something more than many felt he could produce I said when we bought Bissouma that the transition from Brighton to Tottenhan was not guaranteed, but this does zero for me. Maybe I'm the only dissenter, in which case I concede I must/might be wrong.

No, I think he’s shit as well. It will be a really poor signing. I’m convinced on that. Don’t think he’s capable of building chemistry with players around him. He’s selfish and really doesn’t have any football nous. All this Chelsea and Liverpool are in for him was always a load of rubbish put out by West Ham, they wouldn’t buy someone as limited as him and they’re letting go of a younger better version in Madeuke. Chelsea are more likely to go for Dibling who will be a much better player.

Chelsea’s model seems to be to purchase 4 or 5 players per position…. See which 2 come out on top and play them whilst the others just twiddle their thumbs until Saudi or Woolwich buy them at the end of a season or 2

Apart from the potential to waste a piece of ones career….it’s all a bit detached…. No feel that the club are courting you personally

Maybe he sees this and believes Spurs’ interest is genuine rather than as to form some part of football squad acca
