Why doesn’t Arteta just manage Chelsea instead of buying their rejects each window?

Genuinely it’s like Woolwich do what they can to help Chelsea pass PSR. Expect a bid for Kudus by Tuesday from Chelsea.

If Chelsea don't bid for Kudus we know he is shit and they are just letting us have him. I doubt they would want him, they have plenty of average players already.

The shit Spammers are putting out. So pathetic

As if it’s some kind of moral victory that they won’t sell to Spurs

This is one of the other problems with Levy and him wanting to be seen ad the bigger man in the boardroom.

He has pissed off so many other people from other clubs that they won't ever deal with us. Woolwich, Chelsea, West Ham, even Aulas at Lyon. There will be others too.

Even the clubs that do deal will up their price to get one over on levy.

Here we go! The classic TFC u turns incoming
Kudus is a twat. overrated and overpriced decent human being and a top player. Would be a great signing.
genuinely curious and i know you'll ignore this because it's an actual football Q and not about Levy money etc which you love taking about

Do you want to sing Kudus, do you think he'd be a good signing?

cannot wait to hear your erudite thoughts on the player.

Yet people defend him, you would think that people would realise if so many people think so badly of him it probably is him .

Reason we stopped dealing with Chelsea is because they fucked us over with the Arnesen thing after they tapped him up, we complained about it to the Premier League and that for some bizarre reason pissed Abramovic off and they constantly fucked us over with transfers ever since.

West Ham: Brady and Levy weren't the best of mates anyway and they've got beef since Levy scuppered the original plans for them to move to the OS, if you recall and when they won he went to the legacy comitee questioning the validity of them winning the bid.

That put their noses out of joint, Brady was bragging in the newspaper about how she got one over Levy and their fans weren't happy about it because they didn't want to move from the Boleyn, we all know that whole Olympics thing was a sham anyway, loads of backhanders and bribery took place ensuring West Ham got that stadium.

That was around the same year we got Parker off them actually (2011/12)but since then there's been nothing between the two clubs.

That Aulas/Lyon thing is old now, that was over Lloris but then again they sold us Ndombele and done us up over that - I think though Aulas fancies himself to be another Levy for his club anyway.

Forget about Woolwich, the two clubs haven't done business since the 70s I think and neither should they.

Dunno I've heard loads of stories of how some chairman don't want to go up against Levy because he's a negotiating nightmare and he puts people's noses out of joint, I've also heard stories where some people relish going up against him because they respect him as a businessman, some people like to play him at his own game as well and move goalposts of deals, can't be that bad as we still generally sign players anyway 😉

We spent 3rd most in Europe on fees the last 3 seasons? I can hardly believe that if it is true…
It just shows how utterly stupid our transfer strategy is. Giving other clubs loads of money for mediocre players. Why would you give so much money to another club to spend?

We gave Bournemouth 60m for Solanke, for Solanke ffs. Bournemouth can buy a whole team for that and we get one average player in return. That's just wasted money that we won't recoup.

We should be giving better players the money in wages.

I wasn’t even fancying Kudus at first but now I feel it will be catastrophic to not get him. Had a few pints tonight tbf but I think he’s the best RW on the market.

Our recruitment isn't that bad, we generally haven't given a platform for players to actually improve since we opened the stadium, that IMO has been one of the biggest failings from Levy since we moved stadiums, he hasn't really had a plan for our players and bought them into an unstable environment where we have had inconsistencies at managers and coaching level.

There's 2 seasons worth of footage of him in the PL to watch, if our scouting system boiled down to checking what Chelsea were or weren't doing rather than the skillset and profile of the player and how they fit into the bigger picture I think that'd be more cause for concern than signing a player they don't fancy.

hello... Is it me you're looking for...?

<looks like Calvert-Lewein aint coming for a free transfer>:frankfacepalm:

He’s realised if he goes to Chelsea he’ll be lucky to make it onto the bench. Turns out he’s not as stupid or mercenary as I thought.
Kudus may well go to Chelsea but he’s always struck me as a real personality and not just a money drone. Comes from Ghana and had to fight for everything to get from the Right to Dream academy to Europe and has made moves upward since. A lot of Chelsea’s signings (see: Drinkwater, Nkunku, Felix) are just happy to get the payday and put their feet up.

Kudus still seems to have a point to prove.

Kudus looks good to be honest. Saw an interview from teammates of his saying that he's so strong and impossible to get the ball off of in training. Which is definitely something we need more of.

My main concern is where he ends up playing. His preferred position seems to be RM. But with Johnson and Kulusevski there the reality is that we're more likely to need Kudus playing LW and centrally. Internet seems to think he can play in all three positions but reality is often a different thing.

The fact we've got the highest outstanding transfer fee bill in the league is a bit depressing and with ENIC at the helm it's unlikely we're going to go all out and really improve. Just gotta hope Thomas Frank is able to get this squad working. But Kudus definitely seems like a step in the right direction.

If Romero goes who would you rather have of the two players we seem to be looking at. DeWinter or Bisseck? I no nothing about either of them.

If Romero really wants to go to Atleti and they don’t want to pay the asking price in cash maybe we could swap Romero for Gallagher and £35mil. It would fix our number 6 problem and pay for one of the above.
The only problem is I doubt Gallagher wants to come here.
