FFS why cant spurs just do things like big clubs and just pay the extra - a couple of extra million doesn't matter. Instead, levy is going to try and unsettle a player to get him on the cheap instead of...
oh, wait - it's another club.

You just know Bissouma is one of those players that'll go to another club and churn out consistent 7/10 performances week in week out
Yea, we finished 17th last season genius..... we won the Europa (with alot of luck) and the Manager has been sacked.
Why are we paying so much money for players who can't score over 10 goals a season? So we should buy them and expect them to score less because they are sharing the load and be happy because they provide shithousery?!? what the fudge kind of logic is this.
If we pay for a striker over 60m, we can atleast expect over 10 goals a season, but to you... its OKAY, because everyone ELSE has to chip in?!!
Just freaking bring back Janssen then wtf.
Remember, Kane averaged around 30 to 35 goals a season and everyone else fed off of that, because he was such a goal threat that left alot of room for others to perform. Son too was the best counter player of his time and they performed.
Richarlison and Solanke hasn't been good enough.

Forget the fact he’s a racist …. He’s a gooner !!!
I can name plenty of strikers that is not Kane.(Isak, woods, Watkins,Mbeuno, Wissa, Cunha, mateta etc.)Kane was a one off, as is Salah at Liverpool - don't set them up as standard or the vast majority of strikers will fail.
And don't read the start of any Kane thread as most people proclaiming themselves to be Spurs fans thought he was a bad striker who should be moved on - one poster foolishly bet he'd post pictures of him eating his underpants if Kane made it as a striker even in Championship. Curiously that poster was not to be found when Kane started scoring.
And Son made it at Spurs ..... after an iffy first season, and he was at best regarded as 'promising' in Germany and certainly were not bothered at him wanting to move. So another who did not start with any form of decent goal scoring
Given the options available when we bought him, Solanke was and is a decent choice - he's hardworking up front which creates space for others and gets 20_+ goals/assists a season, as do 4 others.
Its not lack of goals which was a problem last season, but we conceded too many.
Richarlison has been injured a lot since we bought him - a lot to do with Brazil (eg injured in warm up in Brazil's last WC 2022 match but he still played most of match before arriving back at Spurs injured. Aside from one 6 week spell where he scored in most games, his goal scoring and assists numbers have been pretty appalling, so definitely needs to go if someone will take him - but players have agency and he has declined to go at least twice.
Your stat that a £60m forward should score 20 goals is ...... way way off.
Look at how many PL players scored that many last season. Just THREE players scored more than 20 goals in 2024/25 PL.
Where the fuck are you getting that from???I’ve been out of the country for over a month; with limited news feeds ( on a boat ) . I see that other teams have done ( and are doing business) .
Serious question; who might we be likely to get ? I’m getting no signals apart from Kudus (?) and possibly a crocked Tomiyasu ( on a Levy-deal ie for free ) .
For you folk who follow this stuff far more closely than me / know far more : Are there any likely incomings ? We’re almost at pre-season stage .
I reckon when this window closes we'll have ended up turning a net profit

Toby is a much better passer of the ball than cuti especially the longer balls.yeah can't disagree with any of that. My only arguement would be that each of the back 4 have the potential of becoming better than their predecessors. VDV and Udogie have higher ceilings than Vertonghen and Rose ever did. Romero on a going day is better than Toby but Toby was available all season and rarely put a foot wrong so hard to argue a case for Cuti just yet. This version of Porro isn't that far behind the Spurs version of Walker. Walker improved alot as a player at City. Bentancur is good enough to get in over Wanyama/Sissoko too if he can get backt o his peak level.
Agree that there isn't a case for anyone else. As much as I rave about Maddison and Kulusevski, Eriksen and Alli were different class.
Some strange with the loans to Turkish CL s. Duran is off to Turkey as well on loan. Not sure how they afford his wages. £70M transfer from Villa in Jan to Saudi and now loaned to fenerbache I think.should go all out and try and sign Osimhen. Not just because Man U fans are desperate to sign him so it'd be a double whammy after beating them in the Europa final but he is class (only off putting thing about it is his weird loan move to small club Galatasaray)
That's only 60M-ish pounds
If Atleti is serious, they'll pay something very close to that.
I see the potential wisdom in selling Romero, but not if it's not for a significant profit.
Painful
A lot can happen in a year though. But next summer he will be worth even less with only a year left on his contract
I don't think people should be moaning about Kudus' fee
This is the market as it is, Madueke will cost similar.
