What kind of profile is he?
Hard tackler?
Good engine?
Playmake or Trouble-shooter?
That would be my starting 11 too. Or swapping in Kulu or Madders for Bent if wanting to be more offensive. And it's a great team.Vicario
Romero - Danso - Micky
Porro - GibbsWhite - Bentancur-Bergvall - Udogie
Kudus - Solanke
This is better
We had good midfielders last season, we just didn’t have a good midfield balance. Two things are very different. If we buy another midfielder I think we can firmly put to one side any notion that we had a good midfielder before. We didn't, and that was painfully obvious.
What I'd say is:Not for me mate.
I get why you’d say that but generally speaking we’ve seen him in a bunch of systems and we know that his ceiling is elite but the floor is diabolical and he’s not consistent across a full season.
He will do great in Türkiye and we can get some resale from him. He bows out a winner and always welcome back
just turned 30, he should be good for another 2-3 years leg wise for his position.Id rather not palhinha I've changed my mind in him. Not sure he's upto it now. Luiz would be brilliant.
Are we not better off going for a 6 rather than Wharton? I do like him a lot but I just feel we’ll be a scary team to play against with a solid DM
if we could get wharton we got to take it. kid looks like hes going to be england's best player. proper midfielder. Are we not better off going for a 6 rather than Wharton? I do like him a lot but I just feel we’ll be a scary team to play against with a solid DM

I thought he was more box to box. Maybe I’ve not seen enough of him!He is a 6:

All I've heard over the past 24 hours is West Ham and Forest fans crying at the fact that we've taken two of their best players and wondering how we did it because we finished 17th! Do football fans have long term memory loss or something?, Do people think finishing that low is the norm for a club like ours? Did they think we were going to be permanently in the mud forever and they'd overtaken us or something? I was hearing the same from our fans as well as if relegation was a serious threat and even without these new signings there is gonna be a repeat of last season.
Mental some of the takes I keep hearing, things change very quickly in football - last season was shite but it was always going to be temporary and like it or not this board have kept us in and around the top 6 in recent years hence why we are apart of the top 6. That isn't going to change for the foreseeable - everyone just needs to play their part in the footballing food chain especially in the Premier League, everyone has a position and we will always be nearer to the top of this league than the bottom, money talks.
And that is not a coaching problem? Our midfield was bang average. It did neither this nor that.
You don't finish 17th with a good midfield, irrespective of how they are coached..
