On one hand, it would make sense not to travel if his wife is pregnant and high risk. On the other hand he is an elite athlete and it’s pre-season - not many players take time off or stop travelling in such circumstances. Many have missed their children’s birth in fact.
Also, it’s only Portugal. With access to private jets, he’d only be 3 hours or so away if anything signalled an emergency.
His partner’s post indicated she’d been for a check up. Given she only has a small bump, the birth must be a good number of weeks away.
I doubt he’d be given time off from work unless something worrying has happened. Her post doesn’t indicate this.

the silence on other fronts is what makes me think the mgw thing is still active.
Forest don't have grounds to reject the offer though nor should we be dealing with any consequences as we have done nothing wrong, for all we know had we offered say £100k over the amount then they'd still be acting up.
They're just salty they didn't do their due diligence and have been trying to get rid of this release clause from his contract for a year and didn't expect anyone to his the clause.

Honestly the silence ought to be taken as a positive sign that we're finally sorting things out behind the scenes and stoping the leaks. How many of our recent transfers were leaked in advance? Yes it's frustrating as we all want signings to happen, but I'd rather the whole world didn't know our business before we've got it locked down.
