If negotiations have taken place to lead to that agreement, it is likely they have been minuted. If they have, that is the type of written "proof" that can be used in a legal case, whether there is an official contract in place or not.

Over the weekend he said Spurs booked the medical without Forests knowledge, and therefore permission, which is obviously in breach of the rules.

And also in your scenario, what is our loss ?
Surely we have gained 60m, and MGW is not only player out there, there just isn’t a loss from our perspective.

I don't know, that's what Lawyers are for. What I'm stating here is that there's the possibility, whilst you've asserted that there is none.

If we had an agreement in place, and there is written proof of that agreement, then we have grounds if they have reneged on that agreement. It doesn't matter if we've lost money or not.

The explanation that makes the most sense to me is that MGW did in fact knowingly breach the confidentiality of his release clause, given the timing perhaps out of frustration with Elanga getting the move up to CL club that MGW had wanted.

That still leaves questions unanswered but it's a more complete and parsimonious explanation than anything else I can think of.

the only thing that makes sense to me is BFG is not honoring the release clause using easily disproved excuses and he thinks MGW won't push back and so far he's right. whoever said he's the greek trump is spot on. MGW has a lot going on atm and there's no rush yet but i suspect this still gets done late.
