Arteta, bottle job weirdo cunt that he is, deserves this investment. He's earned it.

They are pushing all their chips in. It's going to have long-term consequences if they can't get over the line, and the line is a seemingly impregnable Liverpool.

I hope it all falls apart and will laugh my ass of if it does, but you can't fault their intent, and I am jealous of not being able to fault the club's intent.
 
Marinakis been fucked over by Lyon needing money. City swooped in and got Cherki on the cheap and therefore no longer need MGW.

Marinakis should take the 60M we offer, I don't think they will get more next season if he stays and certainly don't think anyone will pay more than 70 for him now.

Baby steps. We aren't good enough to get players who already play for top clubs.

However, we can sign the likes of Wharton/Baleba/MGW if we want to splash the cash. We could easily get a top left back and someone like Wissa as back up striker too. They are the realistic targets who we can get if we spend the money.

They completely fucked up last season by not buying an actual line-leading striker. They might have fucked up again by taking a chance on unproven Gyokeres when Osimhen- among others- was clearly available. They also might be about to fuck up by replacing Odegaard with Eze.

Always it’s interesting to see how they will fuck up with a dramatic close miss.

For a few years now we’ve had melts tell us how Woolwich are acting like a big club in the transfer window. They’ve been on a spurs forum bending over for our biggest rivals.

They’ve got nothing to show for it and have gone longer than any other big 6 club without a trophy. Even United have won something more recently.
