After finishing 17th the season before?
Obviously we post our opinions on here and that is mostly all they can ever be , yet we are as entrenched as Joe Public was over Brexit . If Levy ever sells to a philanthropic owner I wonder what hill we will all choose to die on instead
You think 17th is it’s true value?
Reality is that even with Ange we would have regressed to the mean. That’s just a statistical fact. With a coach who actually coaches, we will make significant progress even with no new signings.
Obviously some quality signings on top are welcome! Kudus and MGW

no obv not, but they improved massively through coaching and tactical set up.
2, we were obv a better squad than 17th
3. we've brought one in , it's clear we wanted to do MGW quickly, hopefully will still happen
4. Ideally we'll get a 6 and some LB cover too.

It’s very simple with me, I’m going to back Spurs players and Spurs managers during the season but it’s also very obvious to me that our owners aren’t really trying to compete in the transfer market with the biggest clubs.
Coaching can make a difference and just by the nature of our younger players being a year older, our squad will be much better than 17th this season.
Thats got fuck all to do with Liverpool having a PL and CL winning squad and not needing to really add much to it.
I think they are better than 17th when it comes to talent.
But probably about right when it comes to application and effort. Maybe a position or two lower.
Can you untrigger a release clause?
$20 mil would be about the upper limit I would think.
They've never paid more than 10 mill for a player
They would probably pay up to 10 mill for Son

We score 1 more goal than them.
We conceded 2 more than them (inc. 7 conceded after the title was already lost....... Had a better tally of both when we left Stamford Bridge on match day 36).
Drew 1 more, lost 3 more.
.....Yet finished 11 points behind (potential 9 point swing head to head).
Tells me that style of play won out.... We lost a number of games trying to win them, whilst they scraped a lot 1-0s and draws in the last 1/3 of the season.

In all honesty, with what Sonny has given us I think if he wants the move we take the £20m. I know £50m does us a massive favour but I think he's completely earned the right to go wherever he wishes after the impact he's made.
£20m, he can join Hugo for a couple of seasons, bow out and enjoy the twilight of his career. No issue with the fee at all.
