That's how Neymar's worked, but in Spain typically the player pays La Liga itself, who then pay the selling club. Neymar's was different because La Liga refused to accept the payment.
In England, I think there's more variety in term of how these clauses are structured.
If we get a good DM in (Stiller, Baleba, Wharton) and Gibbs-White then it is still a good window imo. Our young players Gray, Bergvall, Tel, Moore and Odobert should all improve significantly on last season. We finished 5th two seasons ago with a much worse squad than this and we should be back around there this season.
