Not much. Red Bird who are a hedge fund I believe, put 100m into Liverpool a few years ago.
When Liverpool recently added a top tier to the Anfield Rd end , 6k extra seats, not one of them was for season ticket holder, neither were any for members. Every one was is a corporate seat.
The people’s club I believe, maybe not.
We have 42k season tickets out of 62k. Almost 70%.
Liverpool have 26k out of 60k. About 43%.
We get plenty of stick in the media, Liverpool hardly any, even if they deserve it.
One of my previous employers was US-owned and run, and found it very easy to get Liverpool tickets. They offered them to me as a bonus (an exclusive 'day out' with the directors) and I rejected them, which didn't make me the most popular person there.
Can't think of anything worse than being boxed in with that kind of crowd at that place. People might have notice that my spectrum is very much being an open talker, so I'd have probably dug my own grave.
