Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Absolutely wild that they took a photo of MGW and Maranakis for the new contract story. Such a blatant "fuck you Levy" move.

He will leave next summer for much more than 60m, prob to one of our rivals. We have been mugged off in a way that only seems to happen to Spurs.

33pages in 12 hours! Not got time to read that amount. Any optimistic news re transfers? If so please repeat post.

Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Chelsea all clubs that have sold out who they are for ridiculous debt or negligent owners just for a flash at power or success. All a bit of a disease on the game and sadly none of them seem to give a fuck about it.

The shame of it is how there's so little noise in the media about the crooks in charge at clubs. The media are just as crooked though so hardly a surprise.

I think MGW ends up regretting this later on down the line. His loss, we move on and focus on getting Frank in what he needs if Levy is smart.

Really good post, although as a club with all the plus points we hold, we should be doing more.

It is however a fact that in this current window, it's only the 4 clubs who are plundering the transfer market....... so far.

Was never sold on MGW to be honest. Played well in a team that surrendered the ball and had to lowest passing and touch stats in the league - the opposite of Spurs style.

Demonstrates we are willing to spend, and it wouldn't surprise me if we don't already have a player to announce tomorrow.

Eze would be the obvious target. My mate at telegraph recons some player called Enzo Millot

I think Millot is going to A Madrid ......never heard of him before or seen him play but he seems to be rated by people who have seen him play

This deal was dead to me about a week and a half ago. So I'm past being annoyed at the player not coming..

What I'm not past being annoyed at is that we've so obviously been idle and frozen for the past 2 weeks or so, waiting for some kind of conclusion.

What I'm not past being annoyed at is that we allowed ourselves to be bantered. When the deal was obviously off, you leak to your mouthpieces that you're pulling out of the deal. You're moving on. "Too much hassle, bigger fish to fry". You do not let the club become a prop for the owner at Forest to stand on and claim a victory.
We should have been after the Georgian at Lyon or Simmons eze etc. now we are fucked as other clubs know we have money and our desparate. I’d get Douglas luiz, the Georgian, a LB and another CF. Then hope for the best.

Okay, the whole MGW debacle sucks. BUT someone fucked up and I'm not sure it was Levy - more likely on the part of MGW and his agents.

We need to move on and look at alternatives:
  • Kobbie Mainoo
  • Angelo Stiller
  • Harvey Elliott
  • Xavi Simons
If Mainoo doesn't have a future at Man United, I wouldn't mind us going for him. I think Thomas Frank could get something real good out of him.

Mainoo reminds me of Rashford......talented yes, but a big sulk when things don't go his way. Inconsistent too

Also Mainoo has been demanding a 200k a week contract at Utd

It's amazing the glee you see from some posters that the MGW transfer collapsed. We miss out on a player that would have made a huge difference for us and, instead of being gutted, they're happy because it gives them something to bash the owners with.

Pretty pathetic...

Funny how you tubers like Nara y slater kept saying we’d get the deal done. Not sure what they based that on. Strange how MGW agreed 3 yr extension. I bet he leaves next summer some sort of agreement if money is right.

After the Luton game Spurstalkshow Sean Butler said that he had spoken to two people heavily connected to Spurs who told him that MGW was 100% done and will be joining Spurs :franklol:

He was just passing on the info but it just shows noone has a clue what's really happening.

They are not happy missing out on MGW......of course it's a good excuse for some to blame the owners but I think the vast majority of fans wanted this transfer to go through.
