Not sure if you're serious with this logic but if so, it's a nonsense. Say, hypothetically, all the players would refuse to come to spurs, and as a consequence would only sign for our rivals. The result would leave us languishing. Player intent should not restrict you from judging squad make up. We are behind, we needed to act to change that, not act to yet another public embarrassment

I am not too upset, there are bigger fish in the sea, and this is possibly a blessing in disguise. This won't be the first time a player has called of a transfer at the eleventh hour, and certainly won't be the last.

We need players that are all in for the badge, not the size of their pay cheque.

i think he wanted to come and we didn't have his back in a potential fight with the fat greek. we could've offered more money. we could've guaranteed him any money he would've lost in the fight. we could've gone to bat for him in the press. we could've attacked forest and the fat greek every day until the deal gets done. we did none of this as far as i can tell. we basically said, you're on your own kid and he unsurprisingly backed down. he didn't let us down, we let him down and that's why we're a joke club that no serious player would ever want to join.
 
Situation with this club is so so so fucking weird.

1 just won a Europa League trophy
2 Got CL football
3 played dogshit football and came 17th
4 sacked the manager and got Frank
5 got about 5-10 players to move on but moved hardly any
6 Need at least 3-4 players more but nothing happened
7 only a few weeks to a massive game against PSG

It’s the kind of situation you could play to your advantage and get pumped for the new season but we appear to be making a balls of it.

If West Ham are in the "shit" as you put it, why shouldn't we take advantage of that situation.

ffs at some point you have to look at the totality of all our failures and indignities and realize this is who we are. our owners and board aren't sitting around trying to figure out how to win, they're trying to figure out how they can do as little as possible without getting relegated and/or a full fan revolt. i won't be fooled again and even another miracle tin pot trophy won't change my opinion of enic. they have to go for us to move forward as a club

Agree - I can’t believe we’ve let ourselves get into this situation, it’s so unlike previous transfer windows where everything is so thoughtfully planned and quickly executed.

£70m Guehi bid became £25m for Danso after half a season on loan.

I have absolutely no idea what lunatic is linking us to Rodrygo or anyone for £90m
At this stage, it feels like theres literally teams of people who are out to humiliate us. Players, agents, media, aggregaters the lot.

it's £60m for another goldilocks deal if it even exists. we weren't spending £60m, we were going after a £60m opportunity and now that it's gone i suspect so is the £60m
