Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

You honestly believe that Levy is directing the club to leak news stories about us potentially buying players because he and the entire Spurs media team are that stupid that they think appeasing 10% of the fanbase who actually pay attention to what is said on twitter every day, for 5 mins, is somekind of genuis tactic and won't very clearly and obviously have the complete opposite effect?

dude, you are living in cuckoo land.
It sounds like it would be cuckoo land if he hadn’t done this dozens of times before.

I listed examples- Dybala, Moutinho, Aguero, Bastoni, hell even Gibbs-White is another example of this. Big names that show ambition but never actually come off, and we get the routine of “we tried but the deal was too difficult”.

Like trying to run GTA 6 on an amstrad computer

In fairness to Levy, he’d like to sign a player like Rodrygo, he’s just deluded enough to think that eventually the football world will self regulate and they will fall into the range of his model.

If he admitted to himself that will never happen, he’d have to admit to himself that it’s him who is a tier below the competitive clubs, not THFC.

And the harshest thing about that for him, is that he’s helped the brand and revenue of the club grow to the point where it isn’t a tier below and it really is just him that’s too small time to compete

I’d rather get no one than some overpriced last minute mediocre to average player. This is our MO.
Get one half decent player ala kudus then overpay for someone like a Ramsey. This bloats the squad with players no one else would buy then when they aren’t up to it like Gill or Bissouma etc and when we want to get rid, there are no clubs interested, or if there is a club interested then Levy asks for unrealistic prices. So that just kills the sell to buy idea and bloats the squad.
It’s not good recruiting policy, it’s not good business in the long run but it’s the way the club operates. It’s stupid and frustrating.
Buy good players or no one. That’s what Liverpool do. Then they’re able to sell players when they want to because the players are easy enough to sell due to their ability.

Our scouting and purchase/sales decisions leave a lot to be desired.

We will be linked with good players like Eze and Neto then sign cheaper options like Odobert and Tel.

Then those good players will go to our rivals and, surprise surprise, we are miles off the pace.

Until we start acting like our rivals, we'll always be miles behind them.

Looking at what pool, city, arse, chavs are doing to the rest of the pl. A big middle finger to the rest of the league by spending so much and almost creating there own super league within a league.
We cant/won't compete with that but we should absolutely be doing the same to clubs like villa who are struggling with wage bill, Newcastle who are struggling to recruit and keep best player and the rest.

Newcastle will likely replace Isak with Sesko if he goes, which is also a deal Levy isn’t capable of either

Mate, you need to take a break from reading transfer news. Or at least wear a silver foil cap while you're doing it - just in case Levy's fake transfer leaks get too deep into your brain.

FML.

This is exactly how Levy and his social media hangers on (Ali Gold, Paul O'Keefe etc etc) operate.

Recent example, alll that rubbish about new investment and Levy stepping aside that was leaked a few weeks ago.

If people want to talk about Rodrygo they should do it in the "other teams transfers" threads, absolutely demented seeing people reeling off his name in here.

But then I suppose we don't have much else to talk about.

Kudus, FFS! Why are people having such difficulty with this. It's five letters and two of them are the same letter.
Zakora.
Zakoria.
Zakoriah.
Zokora.

Ridiculous.

What good does it do the club to intentionally troll the fans for a few days when the truth will out by the end of the week anyway???

SPOILER: NONE!!!

LOL why would LEVY do that?

Tell me one real benefit that you can back up with some kind of credible argument,.

The only people who benefit are the news orgs, websites, and Twitter folk who make money off the clicks and ads.

Levy has nothing to do with it, no way to benefit from it in any meaningful way.

If people just stopped clicking on the same bullshit news stories the whole time, they would stop getting printed. I can literally show you tools that track the traffic that keywords and stories like this generate which in turn give people who are trying to make money the ideas for the bullshit news they print.

Ahh that's right. Levy has journos and fake ITKs on the payroll
He's quoting Ali as one, the lad who spurs have severely limited his access to players and the club before because they didn't like his comments about some of the decisions the club has taken. Also he blatantly hasn't listened or read any of Ali's stuff because he is still very critical of the club. Hell read his piece yesterday and then come back and try and claim he's a levy shill
