Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We tried to sign Giuseppe Rossi? I don't remember that one.

That name takes me back. USMNT fans were soooooooo mad when he picked Italy.
Indeed back when he was at Villarreal, I want to say 2010 or 11 range under ‘Arry. This was prime Blue and Yellow territory when we were linked to every striker under the sun including Rossi, legendary Damiao, Luis Fabiano, Aguero, even Luis Suarez at Ajax. Of course we ended up with none of them except Adebayor on loan.

Iirc Rossi got a bad injury around that time and we understandably ended our interest.

I think Son is gone after the Asian tour. Between Frank sounding non-committal about him and the strength of rumors in the US press about the possible deal with LA I'd be surprised if Spurs don't cash out. Los Angeles would be good for Son in many ways.
I hope you are right tbh - I can see them backtracking though and reconsidering if we don't get anyone else with star potential through the door. Tel is the replacement anyway knowing this lot.

Yang ain't ready though and we need the Asian market to stay committed which I am sure is paramount in Levys little fucking head.

I keep on thinking that this window is worse than last season's shit show so thought I'd look at the dates of our incomings. At this stage we'd only loaned in Werner and signed Gray, so with the Kudus signing we are amazingly better off than at the same point last year, which admittedly isnt anything at all to shout about, so no idea why I am mentioning it, but thought it worth saying.

Basically the club is shit in the market. There is enough evidence of that.

You not a bit sick of always complaining? It is what it is. Constantly whining about it and blowing everything out of proportion isn't going to change a damn thing.
Im not one that is big on the complaint front

However as more time passes its clear that we’re not as good as our immediate competitors…. Are you in denial of this ?
Why you choose to steadfastly ignore this and moreover defend it is becoming more and more bizarre.

The trite acceptance of ‘it is what it is ‘ isn’t something to which we all have to subscribe …. Simply because you’re happy with this middle of the road mediocrity doesn’t mean the rest of us must follow

Can't help wondering what this lad is up to these days.........

Old post of mine but if you're genuinely interested in that respect:

From the BBC gossip pages, hadn't seen this anywhere else yet... Who fuck comes up with this shit

The "source" is a bloke from India who clearly has absolutely NFI that Spurs and Arse do not, and won't trade.
The only way a player ever moves between us is when their contract runs out.

Not sure if he's on the tour or not?

I'm leaning towards him winging it abit. He seems really good at those low key, young players from small clubs type transfers but thats it. Maybe he's not quite cut out for that high level kind of business.
I kinda see him as the guy thats always on the periphery. U know, u see him around the place at a distance, always on the phone but always slightly out of reach and you never really find yourself getting to talk with him and you presume its because he's working so hard.

Apparently frank wanted a chat with him before they set off for Korea, but when he arrived lange wasn't there to meet him.

Avoid The Office GIF
Why are you chatting shit?

The amount of people on here who make up tbeir own little stories about what happens… and then actually verbalise those thoughts…

Proper weirdos

Let me ask you all an uncomfortable question here - why is it exactly that people have turned all doom and gloom after MGW thing?

Let me take step sideways here (before I come up with my theory) of my thoughts and emotions regarding that saga.
First of all when I saw "Here we go" post on him, I asked "WHY??!??!". Cause quite frankly now as well as then, I don't get, why should we sign a 60m player into position where we have THE MOST competition and ability already? Where we have Madders, Kulusevski, Kudus and even potentially Bergvall?
Then, in bit of time I came around to it, cause he offers quality and boosts the numbers, and then... possibly... Frank wants to play some different kind of formation maybe? With 2 CAM? Or play Kudus and or MGW as wingers.
As the situation dragged on I came more indifferent about it.
And now that it collapsed, I really do not care that much.

Because - and I cannot repeat this enough - there are MANY OTHER POSITIONS THAT NEED WAY MORE ATTENTION. I'd be much freaking happier if we'd now repurpose this 60 mil for buying world class DM. Like Ederson from Atalanta for example. It makes so much more sense and improves the side so much more. We need DM, another good fullback and even a striker so much more than another AM.

So now coming back to the question in first paragraph - this all situation just looks like reaction of 5yo after seeing a shiny toy in the store. Getting to hold the box for a moment and then get it taken away and put back on the shelf. I can literally see some way over the top bitterness, some real immaturity.
OR alternative theory I came up with is that the reaction is combination of MGW deal collapsing AND the fact that there have been no other deals at the same time that would improve the squad. Eg - even if this deal fell through, if we would have signed a DM/fullback of potential starting quality, then the reaction to this bit of news would have been much calmer. I really hope it is the latter theory here :D .
