Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Don't love Wissa or Kolo Muani if we are looking for 9's tbf. Only semi available great 9 on the market is Isak and bald cunt isn't spending that kind of money. I'd much rather spend on a LB, 6 and Madderz backup than a 9. Richy will be fine as a backup

Always been difficult quarry. We were wandering in the wilderness before we got lucky and found Harry Kane in a box in the attic.

:sherwoodlol:
Kane was our Berbatov replacement essentially. But for the most part, if you're not willing to splash the cash, strikers typically command the highest fees, so no wonder the bargain bucket players haven't worked out.

Solano was unlucky, there didn't seem to be any rhyme not reason why he just forgot how to score. Paying big bucks for 'Plan A' Solanke though was just a disgrace. We'll have to go into another season with him as the focal point because Levy isn't going to cut his losses after a year. I said he'd be Deadwood before we even got him. It's insane to me. One good season on the PL and they panic bought. I don't see a top 10 side from last season who he starts for. Everton who finished 13th I think he'd start for. Ridiculous.

Err, what - we came to finals but didnt win...it was luck, it wasnt the manager , it wasnt the players - whose fault is it then for last 20 yrs. If you say Levy, then what did he do wrong. I am just trying t o talk about the process that landed in us unable to sell players for 10 yrs.

What are we discussing here in this thread ? Why bother wanting the next big thing or wanting best players - because they are the players who make that difference

You can chose to be emotional - thats fine. I am not disrespecting the player but just commenting on the process in landing the players

The manager is the difference in the finals and semis. Playing an unfit Harry Kane after telling the media you'd quit if you won, and that it would be a miracle. Putting Son at LB against Chelsea in the semis.

You don't really need the best players to win Cups - it's single-game strategies. This past season highlighted that more than ever

So help me understand, according to you why our best sale we did was Trippier in last 10 years (other than kane ofcourse) ?
Whole point of the discussion was why the hell are our transfer sales so bad ?
My point was, we settle for 2nd best.
As for as Mane - Jack Pitt Brooke also went into detail in one of the View from lane podcast. Mane was just a example. Grealish was other well known example where we tried to penny pinch and end up losing. Anyway, I will not post more & digress

I agree that Gray’s Achilles heal is his (lack of) physicality but he does have high end skills and more importantly an incredible footballing IQ.

He is 6’2” so height is not the issue so
surely the physical aspect can and will be remedied but this year may be a little hopeful. He is still only 19.

Archie could well be a superstar soon though

Needs to hit the gym and put on a load of muscle. Hopefully the new training team will see this and get him built up.

"sales need to be made first"

stop fuck off GIF

Oshimen signed for Galatasary at nearly £70m
I'm so confused.
I thought his contract was up and he was a free agent and where the fuck have a Turkish team got £70m plus wages from??

i'm actually ok with a straight loan for palhinha. if he has a good year we'd miss out on the value he'd reacquire with us but he's higher risk at his age and you have to take into consideration that a serious football club like bayern wants to dump him. even if he doesn't set the league on fire he'll influence grey and bergvall i think too

Yeah he could well be the kind of player who makes others flourish. A bit like when Scott Parker came in and let the others play.

I just hope nobody starts a thread on him until he is actually signed.
