Why?Absolutely should be all over Lookman like a tramp on hot chips. I imagine Atlanta would rather sell abroad also rather than a domestic rival.
My only embarrassment is for you.
I don't believe you were watching Spurs during this period because your account of what you remember is so flakey.
The 91 / 92 team was a Terry Venables team. The same team that finished 3rd in 89/90 and won the F.A. Cup in 90/91. The only difference was that Paul Gascoigne was missing because of the serious knee injury he suffered in the 91 cup final against Forest. However, the squad contained Gascoigne, Lineker and Paul Stewart who all left the club at the end of the season.
You conflate this team, and the transitional 92/93 team, with the League Cup winning side of 1999 which is just batshit.
I'm pretty sure that Justin Edinburgh and Ian Walker were the only players in the 99 League Cup winning team who were in and around the first team in 90 / 91 or 91 / 92. Anderton also played in the 99 League Cup final but he arrived in the summer of 92.
Carr and Campbell were youth team players in 92.
The decline in quality, that you reference, began during the 95/96 season after Klinsmann, Barmby and Popescu were sold. Sheringham wasn't far behind them; leaving in the summer of 97.
The fact that you can't remember any of this confirms my belief that your support for Spurs either began after this period or you were just a bit fickle.
I was living and breathing Spurs during this period which is why I can recall the vibe, the players and the significant games which all of your anecdotal bluster lacks.
Fixxy's loving it though so....
Keep going.

Suppose we will find out soon enough playing for Villa.Guessand isn't a 10. Also, he's 24, got 6 pro seasons under his belt and just one was solid...and that was in Ligue 1, where 12 clubs out of 18 are Champo level.
And why spend big money on a player we'll lose to AFCON for a month?
No thanks.
To be fair I thought he'd been prolific for 3 seasons or so, didn't realise last season was his only decent output numbers wiseWhy?
He's had almost as many clubs as Andross Townsend. We're often guilty of signing players off the back of one good season. Maybe we should try players who had done more.

True and best they never talk or discuss about the best time to make public statements. We don’t want any joined up thinking at our club . After all that’s how professional organisations work .Because?
As I said in my previous post, we have more than one department.

Can't say I'm keen on Lookman average IMO that Europa final in Dublin was not his regular output
I'm shitting my pants at the thought of the squad before we even play our first premier league game. Why we have to play Munich is just daft considering we lost 2 players in our last match.
Rumours of Conor Gallagher surfacing again, not sure how this solves the No 10 problem.I'm shitting my pants at the thought of the squad before we even play our first premier league game. Why we have to play Munich is just daft considering we lost 2 players in our last match.
