Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Tel, Danso, Kudus did come in early. MGW also would have been an early signing.
Yes they did
Out of interest how many fans of the clubs I mentioned do you feel would consider exercising a loan option to buy , who we had last season when we finished 17th as strengthening early from last season .

I like Danso and have hope for Tel . But if we couldn’t get those two over the line we are a complete morons .

Our fan base is so beaten up by Levy they will try and justify anything. Since last season we have strengthened with Kudus . We have lost Son who although nowhere near the player he was did contribute. Can Kudus deliver the same stats I think and hope so .

Tel and Danso is not strengthening from last season , what you can say is not signing them would have weakened us. So many of our fans seem accepting of paying the highest prices for very minimal return .
It makes no sense would you pay Rolls Royce price for a Fiat 500 of course not .
Levy treats us like consumers, sadly consumers where he is the only shop for 1000 miles .

Been told by a mate in the press that there seems to be a lot of activity going on in the background, lots of talk about some serious cash being invested very soon. We'll blow all our rivals out of the water, just trust the process.

The poems are back and they aren't going away until that 60m MGW money gets spent so get used to them!

Fore! No Transfers

Johan Lange’s on the course,
He swings, he chips—he’s lost, of course.
His phone’s gone missing in the rough,
While Levy says, “We’ve spent enough.”

Eze waits, Simons too,
But golf’s the only deal they do.
The window fades, the fans despair,
Ambition lost—somewhere out there.

I personally think we are going to struggle this season
Think our squad is lop sided, injury prone and we don’t seem to be addressing the situation
Eventually it catches up with you
Probably on my own, but currently that is my opinion
Sorry

With just over a week to go and Madison out for considerable time and we haven’t had a plan B for MGW this is shaping into a shocker of a window , I really don’t want to go to a toxic Anti levy White hart lane but if things don’t start well, that’s exactly what we’re going to get . Zero ambition , it’s like we never bid for MGW . All the top teams have strengthened and if we go into the season with the squad as it is then I’m not sure we even get top 10 .

Strengthening from last season will largely come from Romero, VDV, Udogie, Bentancur, Richarlison, Odobert, Solanke actually being fit to play.

The dilemma is that we have signed all these players - but none of them can stay fit enough to contribute.

Of course, the season hasn't even started, and Spurs are without Dragusin, Kulu, Madisson. Kudus is a quality addition but urgently require a creative spark in the final 3rd. I'm also not convinced that Solanke, Tel or Richarlison will ever be 20+ goal a season strikers.

We need Quality and not quantity. We have only spent big on 1 new player and need to do so on 1/2 new players. Anything else like young players for the future or loans like Palhinha are extra and a bonus. We should hear more news today about Maddison’s injury and the length of time he will be out is crucial. As many have posted the options for a new No 10 are not great. Frank seems to want a new CB but with a couple of promising players that could be ready next season perhaps a loan would be better. Like others the striker options worry me more and I am less convinced on our prospects there than at CB. If we are to cover LB then it will be a loan.
The restrictions on CL numbers will mean some will not be registered but that should not stop us buying for PL.

€60m Euros we have but £60m it’s not clear. Ndombele was close but the point stands, we’re never doing what United are about to do with Sesko, Cunha and Mbeumo in one summer because we don’t have the same drive to win
Imagine that. We won the EL. We are in the CL.

But they've signed a whole new attack. And I wouldn't be surprised if they added a top CB and CM before the window closes, especially if/when they manage to get rid of Casemiro, Antony, Sancho, Garnacho, Zirkzee/Hojlund...

And my PSG pals tell me Donnarumma heading to OT too once they get Chevalier over the line.
