Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

One player for the No 10 that I haven’t heard mentioned is Sudakov at Shakhtar. We were linked with him for a while. Good numbers for carrying, passes into the box and assists. Obviously they were pissed with us at Soloman, so might be difficult.

I would say if we tried to ring Shaktar about a player they would tell us to fuck right off so fast Levy wouldn’t even get his first syllable out.

Although tbf that probably goes for numerous clubs as a result of Levy’s carry on over the years.

Its a shame we dont do business with the Chavs. I really like a few of their fringe players. Chukwuemeka would be a good affordable signing for us. Always thought he looked pretty good on the ball. Worth a punt for 20m especially as we dont have the resources to compete with the upper echelons of the PL.

We played at WHL in 2016/17.

And our form at Wembley when we did move was actually excellent albeit not as good as 2016/17 when we were undefeated.

The reason we lost that title was no other fucker put up a fight against Chelscum. Wasn't until we did them at WHL that anyone even drew blood against them. Fuckers
Like you say it was good (remarkably considering) but not excellent like the season before at WHL

Could’ve been the difference … very least a factor

He’s ok for the season after as well. Not 21 till July 2026. So will be under 21 on 1 Jan 2026 which is the cut off for following season. Robins is a good manager so should do well, hopefully.
His DOB is 17/8/2005 so on 1 Jan 2026 he will be 20, as you say. So he will be U21 for next season, 2026-27.
The season after, 2027-28 he will have to be included in the squad of 25 as he will be 21 on I Jan 2027.

You're actually more concerned that a crappy transfer window will lead to more justified criticism of the owners than the detrimental effect it'll have on the football team you support!! WOW!

Honestly, Phil, ..I've never known a 'fan' like you

You are pathetic, mate. Try harder to make a point of value.

The irony from a poster who only appears at the difficult times should not be lost on those who are frequent contributors.

Fair play, think Frankfurt who finished 3rd in the Bundesliga and Man U still being Man U made it official enough for me, being there helped also. Could of played Ajax if they'd beaten Frankfurt and Lazio if they beat Bodo Glimbt as well would of been a more pleasing way to the final but they lost.

We all want us to be there, I just think we should try and enjoy ourselves a bit on the way and to me that was the 2nd biggest competition we could win last year other than the league that we just missed out on :ange-blow:
Frank has given me a glimmer of hope, so I am enjoying it a bit more this season. How long that will last? I don't know. With Levy admitting he gets involved in player purchases and the way our transfer window is going, I won't bet my Life on it staying this way.

kudus improves the first 11, palhinha improves the first 11, if we can get one more that improves the first 11, either a 10 or a LW then thats a good window, if we can get a 10 and a LW that both improve the first 11 then thats an amazing window.

Remember when we lost Keane and Berbatov and replaced them with Frazier Campbell?

This isn't even top 5 worst windows under ENIC and there's 3 weeks left :franklol:

(Blebleble sign people earlier blebleble Liverpool, United etc blebleble all our number 10s legs are falling off blebleble 'we want to win the champions league')

Think that covers any reply.

They are two quite particular characters. Most players are happy to get the money on offer.
I don't think it's as common or easy as you think to get players to go there.
This is a (admittedly 2 year old) list of players to go there.
Which players have joined the Saudi Pro League exodus so far?
Ronaldo - old, craves goals as much as money
Benzema - old
Henderson - old
Mahrez - won everything, was ageing when he went
Kante - old broken
Koulibaly - shite
Neves - outlier
Mendy - shite
Brozovic - elite career over
Firmino - as above
Jota - SPL level player
Milinkovic Savic - Not gonna pretend I know much about the player or circumstance

There isn't a player there that is a genuine, current, prime age, superstar.
They're mostly elite level rejects or those who's best days are well, well behind them. And Jota. Weird one.

Honest question. Is there any club that isn't p!she's with us?

Bayern seem to be ok
