Question. Does anyone think if we lost the EL final that we would have done a lot more business than what we currently have? I think the trophy has allowed Levy a level of breathing space, not that it should of course. I think the pressure of finishing 17th and not having a trophy may have led to increased spending. But then we wouldn't be in the CL, so who knows. The fact we're in the CL though and still not doing much in the window is utterly deflating.

I think the general consensus was, after a win and with CL money, they would invest more.
This hasn't been the case and, the supply of average opportunity signings continues.

I think it's safe to say we are expected to consider making an approach today

If not today, we will definitely monitor the situation to confirm whether its worth considering.

I ran this through Google Translate and it says;

''Barcelona decided not to sell Ferran Torres in the summer transfer window, despite receiving two €50 million offers from the Premier League to lure the Spaniard away from the Blaugrana. Tottenham and Newcastle were the two clubs that made moves in recent weeks.''
