City fans say he is better on the left and his breakout season for Girona was on the left.
Odobert is garbage. I’d hope if we sign savio he replaces that dud on the left and we still bring in a 10.
Palmer is completely different. He was knocking around for ages and was a complete identical profile to Foden so couldn’t get game time. A classic youth player blocked by senior player situation.
Savio played loads and cost a solid wad- he was just a bit shit for city. Fun at times but couldn’t kick. Go watch him when we smashed them, one of the most frustrating performances ever.
He’s fun and for us a big upgrade on the likes of tel, Odobert and Johnson but city have decided to cut their losses for a reason.

As for Savino himself; didn't see any great shakes from him last season..... Just remember him arriving with the "next megastar" fanfare and being underwhelmed.

I hope not, we need a "passer" in the #10 role to link the defence/CM with the attack and Odobert and Savinho aren't that type of player.
This would be a good signing if we also got a #10 and moved Johnson on IMO.
I have a lot of problems with this proposal, but Savinho's got two full seasons as a regular starter for top teams in top leagues, even though he's very young I wouldn't call him a "kid" in functional terms.
city paid 30mil for him so will probably want at least 50 maybe even 60.
Hes a lw moreso and is stronger there i wouldn't be suprised if we see that as the son replacement. I am not against this one because you can actually see what he brings. Pace and dribbling now teams can't just go mark kudus because now we have to mark savinho too it opens up the game more for us to hopefully supply solanke and get in more
He’s one of our many top young talents you really rate who basically nobody else wanted and has done essentially nothing at premier league level to warrant any hype.
He might develop. Right now he’s just your standard can dribble a bit wide player with zero stand out qualities otherwise.
Utterly unexcited by him. Savinho has flaws but he is several levels ahead of that shit.
That seems insane to me, in no universe did he GAIN value last season.
Had a look on transfermarkt and it does say mostly LW. Weird though because I watched a few Girona games that season and he’d regularly pop up on the right.
