Savio is a great press defender. Data supports that as well.

Kudus in pre season has been as well. Even if it’s been an issue for him at Ajax.

Honestly think defending is about physical gifts, effort and the last 15% that really good defenders have is IQ.
Let's hope TF can get them all to understand that and that they're all work their butts off each & every second we don't have the rock.

If I see another occasion of a player simply giving up (like Bissouma or Udogie done plenty times), I will lose my shit.

Absolutely, especially for 40ish mil. Kid was immense at Girona and definitely had plenty good moments at City.

I just really wish we hadn't signed Tel and used that money (and more) on a proper CF, 10, DM, LB...
One thing about Tel I do think he's a prospect. But in fairness he wasn't 100 per cent keen on joining us. As soon as he gets the 'I used to play for Bayern' out of his head and cracks on there is a player in there imo.

You think his first season in the prem was a flop?

Not for me. The data, the eye test and the 8 assists without being a lock to start, all tell me that was a very encouraging start to life in the PL for a 20 year old South American,

He was better than Doku by a mile and shit loads less frustrating
Just me catching up on 20 or so pages just after waking up. I'd rather get a blowie of a fittie but hey we ain't all that lucky.

Probably the wrong terminology too.

I really, really liked the kid when he was at Girona and not surprised City brought him back. He did okay last season to be fair, considering he was a Brazilian baby lad arriving in mad Rainchester and discovering the mighty PL. Yeah coulda/shoulda scored a few more in that team, but still he was decent.

40mil on him and I'm happy. Like I said in another post earlier, just wish we'd not spent that on Tel & Odobert and used that cash to sign a LB, LCB, 10 etc etc.

Some Englishmen in that squad would be nice too. We're Spurs, not Woolwich or Liverpool.

Ok Savhino is waaaay better and has amazing stats on everything...... Despite not being much between them for their last two clubs.

You ignored the rest of the post where in the end I said they're not really comparable if they're not playing in the same position and one is going to hopefully be a provider and the other hopefully a finisher going forward.

And that Savhino as a provider of chances would be exactly what we need.

Okay.
There is a huge gulf between them for their last 2 clubs though lol, you have to include a load of U19 goals for Tel to even closely measure up to what Savinho has been providing at men's level for a longer period of time. Tel has never had a season like Savinho's at Girona to suggest he can be a 30+ G+A contributor in a top league any time soon, I don't think it's hyperbole to say it's equally likely that Odobert is a bigger success than Tel and virtually a firm guarantee that Savinho will be levels above either when they're all in their prime.

They have different roles on the pitch but they still are going to occupy the same positions for us, with the personnel we have playing a flat 4-4-2 as you seem to be suggesting would be complete and utter suicide, you harp on about stats but you want to stick Tel and Solanke with their G+A to game ratios up front as the answer to our attacking problems? Fucking barmy that.

Beaten into submission by years of Levy PR , Buzz words and empty promises

I don't love this phrase but it's the epitome of the battered wife
Ironically enough I'm convinced Levy is the type to wear a wife-beater under his shirt and even pyjamas.

Ready To Go Rip GIF

They don't like us and they hate Levy! A lot unhappy with him leaving which is a good sign.

His finishing definitely needs some work, seeing his last 70 shots was interesting, unlucky not to score more and definitely a lot of potential there. Some awful shots in there too.

About a quarter of those chances were against us, still can’t believe how open we were.

His shooting from the left across the keeper was miles better than from the right and cutting inside.
