Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Of course they're going to say they don't want to sell but we don't go to the trouble of bidding for the player if it was a complete non starter after enquiring.

So yes they'll sell for the right price, of course they will.

You do need to go talk to someone about that JT obsession, pal. That's getting old & boring.

Come on, you've got much better material in your locker.
He's my #1 stalker on here mate

Creepy stuff 👻

This savinho chap is only on 40k a week

Opportunity FC
Levy rather threw money to other football clubs for the transfer fee than on the actual aseets which are the wages of the players. Many of the so-called excitement Ali Gold called it will be frustrations when their improvements are just marginal comes months later. Fans just liked to be taken for a ride by our cunt chairman thinking he has done alot because of those fees.

The original Athletic article has been updated to say we have "approached" city but this piece is the most relevant update
"City say they do not want to sell Savinho, communicated that in response to the enquiry and regard this matter as closed. Their perspective is that it would take much more than £50million to consider his exit.
But other sources with knowledge of the situation regard Spurs’ pursuit as ongoing."
unfortunately the pessimists amongst us probably right not to get too excited about this one
Assuming we really are talking to City about Savinho, I would read too much into their reported reluctance to sell... I think it's pretty much what you'd expect a them to say publicly.

I very much doubt it - similar to the first couple of PL games before the registration deadline which is after end of transfer window (1 September) where the rules seem to be 'if you have signed them, you can lay them and there are no limits on squad size, HG players or anything else - all that staff only applies when the squad is being registered after end of transfer window.

And UEFA squad registration date also after end of transfer window.
Just seen elsewhere apparently we had to submit a 22 man squad which was done last week?

And for all the shit that we can throw at City, they have as far as I can remember, never forced a player to stay if the player actually wants out.

MGW has given some people on here some serious PTSD

I think that's probably more Levy than a good but not world class player.

We need players who will still be important in 3 or 4 years. I think that's the plave we are at.

Gibbs-White was never in that category for me, much as I think he would have been a welcome squad asset fir couple of years.

We stand today needing 4 quality players in my opinion. No change.

A striker,2 midfielders/wingers and a defender. Get those, and the right quality, and no need to recite any of the words from the Paul Hardcastle hit of many moons ago. Great term many moons.
