Am I one of the top posters on here ?

You are the barometer, the cutting edge in your genre. In fact, I don’t think it would be going too far to describe you as a genre-defining poster on TFC.

What would this place be without you?

He scored one premier league goal in over 2000 minutes of football last season.. as an attacker.

I think he’s a good signing but we really need to work on the word bargain if we think it applies here. It’s 50 million pounds.

I cannot disagree with you're post in terms of the fact he only scored 1 goal.

But I stand by it and am happy to be ridiculed over it in future if needs be. His talent level is elite and it was his first season in the pl. He played in a position for city that is all about supply also. He probably does have more natural talent than rodrygo, it just needs time and to realise it and I say that as a huge fan of rodrygo.

He absolutely has star quality about him and im sure he will flourish if he comes to spurs. Sometimes at a club like city it can be hard to find youre own space as a young player because its so competitive. He will be a key player at spurs, a star player and somebody who others will look to lead us for creativity and goals and some players (typically the cocky ones) absolutely thrive on that.

I think Kudus and Savinho would represent a step in the right direction but it's looking like the best part of £120m for two players that scored 6 goals combined in the Prem last year
I do think that Kudus and Savinho are closer in profile respectively to Semenyo and Kluivert who were playing either side of Solanke when he scored 19 PL goals for Bournemouth, so if we could encourage a similar return for Solanke this season, get between 5-10 out of Savinho and Kudus (provided Savinho comes), hopefully sign a new 10 who can chip in with 5-10 in Maddison and Kulu's absence and have Johnson and Richy providing goals off the bench we might actually be ok next year, a lot of ifs, buts and maybes in there though, I'm not against trying to turn Johnson into a Dele type 10 if we can't find the right profile of 10 but can find a good passing 8 to throw behind him, Johnson turning up late in the box to get on the end of a Kudus/Savinho pass or through ball could be quite fearsome tbh especially as Solanke is quite good at creating space up top.

The bit that frustrates me most is that we always seem to be behind with our targets Let me explain.

Mourinho had Kane and Son in the form of their lives while also getting a tune out of Ndombele and Hojbjerg. He just needed a top centre back (Sanchez, Dier, Tangana, Rodon were all starting regularly). He never got that top centre back. We signed Romero the summer after sacking him!

Conte
played a back 5 so our attacking options were fine. Bentancur and Hojbjerg had a great relationship in midfield and Deki Kane Son was a fantastic front 3. Conte needed better wing backs and a much better left sided centre back (Emerson, Sessegnon, Ben Davies all starters). We only signed Lenglet on loan. The summer after we sacked him we went and signed Porro, Udogie and Van De Ven!

Ange
had a better all around team but we'd obviously lost Kane which was a massive blow. His style required touchline wingers who could beat a man. Brennan Johnson and son were not them players. We only gave Ange Werner on loan and an 19 year old called Odobert. The summer after we sack Ange we go and sign 2 of the best dribblers in the league - Kudus and hopefully Savinho!

This trend is amazing isn't it. We seem to always be 12 months behind with our signings and never give the current manager exactly what they are looking for! It always felt like we had the perfect Conte team under Ange. Now it feels like we could have the ideal Ange team under Frank!
They signed Doherty for Jose and Emerson for Conte… it’s always ass backwards
