Spurs remain interested in Eze
Latest from Lyall Thomas & Mark McAdam:
Tottenham remain interested in Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze.
They have a long-standing interest in the player and he has been among their top No.10 targets this summer.
Spurs are in the market for a 10, a winger and a defender before the deadline.
The long-term injury to James Maddison means two attacking players are needed.
They are assessing several options at 10 including Eze and Nico Paz, and have approached Man City over winger Savinho.
Woolwich expressed interest in Eze earlier in window but it is understood their focus is still on player sales.
Not sure if or how true but it highlights what I and many were saying before about needing a LW. Its clear odobert is not quite ready and tel not suitable on the LW.
As before, these youngsters need time and should supplement established players whilst the learn and grow not be depended onto carry the pressures and expectations of a top club.
And before anyone says, yes I know savinho is only 21 himself but he is far far further along and better than odobert and Tel right now.
