Which is why Liverpool are moving now and why we are moving for Eze now.

Palace will want the deals done so they can spend the funds before the window closes.

Selling Guehi only gets them 30 million, frankly that isn't anywhere near enough. They'd need to sell Eze also, that would net them 100 million in total which would allow them to buy three or four new players. If they don't sell Eze now, they will have to sell him for peanuts next summer.

Personally I think both players leave Palace this window.

Plus they've lost the Europa League money, while not Champions League level it is more than the shitty Conference League.

They REALLY fucked up the Guehi situation.

El Khannouss may one day be a top player, but to say, in our position we should go for him over someone like Eze currently is just remarkable in how utterly ridiculous it is.
they're not the same type of player and there's a reasonable case to say we need El K's passing more than Eze's skillset. Esp with Madz out for so long, Kulu till Xmas (?) and Donley clearly not ready for this type of challenge.

Who's going to provide the clever passes that unlock the Burnley type 4-4 low block?

Not surprising, though. Our chairman doesn't even like football and he knows fuck all about it. Plus none of his yes men dare speak up.

Udogie is unreliable on many levels. Ben Davies can't play LB in this day & age. Micky's hammies won't hold. And Archie will be a star CF before he's a decent LB. Get that Ipswich kid in, he'll give Udogie a right (left) run for his money. May the best man win (I know who I'm backing). If Udogie still can't stay fit and/or up his levels, get another LB next summer to compete with Leif.

Same with the goalie situation...shouldn't have signed Kinsky in the first place but could've recouped some of that money by selling him to a Lille or Nice. We needed to go after someone like James Trafford or Anthony Patterson...they'd have backed themselves to nab the No 1 shirt of Vicario, and they're the future of the England team.

CB? Same deal. How is Romero still here when he clearly wants out and his value will be higher now than next summer? Could've used that money to go after a Guehi type.

CF? We going into a new season with Dom, Richy and Tel as options. Fuck me. Had we acted early and found the right words & financial package, even a kid like Delap would be here. And he wouldn't even be my star CF newbie.

But then again all the deals we've done so far this summer have been opportunistic stuff, not the result of thorough forward planning..we don't do any of that, big clubs do.
I’m sorry but that’s just a load of old codswallop.

Have a feeling Frank is waiting to see how Davies does and Udogie isnt too far away from coming back.
Then Frank is an idiot.

Ben Davies shouldn't be a very important player for Spurs in 2025, especially not at left back. I love the bloke and am totally cool with him staying put and being 5th choice CB + 3rd choice LB, but that's where it ends.

Udogie been a waste of money. He's the LB version of Bissouma, with less cuntiness. He can eff off back to Italy for all I care.

No surprise its Sudoku though. He's the one who was worshipping Ange all of last season despite it being clear how fucked we were with him in charge, and he just wouldn't have it. Keep beating the Ange drum until he was gone. Awful takes
If sudoku says that the grass is green , I instantly start a worldwide campaign claiming that grass is purple and pink

I’ve watched Eze, and I’ve seen obviously less of El Khannouss, though I watched him Sunday, and as much as Eze is more a ball carrier than a passer, if you watch his highlight reels and some of his assists he’s capable of some great passing - like I said El Khannouss MIGHT go on to be great, but currently I think Eze is capable of everything EK is, and more, and at a higher level. It’s also the case that having elite 1v1 players such as Savinho and Eze can break down low blocks with a trick or clever dribbling to open up that bit of space.

We could go for EK, miss out on Eze, and actually EK flops. You have to go for the better proven player when they’re available.

Guehi is a lost cause, as acknowledged by their manager and even chairman. The money they've already missed out on there should have no bearing on their decision regarding Eze.

If they want to go through with Eze next summer what they have already gone through with Guehi this summer, then they can keep him. It'd be madness though.
