Unfortunately I can’t agree with you about Solanke. He was brought in to replace Kane after one good season at Bournemouth and he’s not half the player big Kane was. It just goes to show how badly we are advised on signings. I don’t like arguing with other supporters but some things in our club need changing from the top down.
Yes Richi played well last night.

Solanke is getting the same sort of abuse that Kane was getting before he became an accepted part of Spurs side - some 3 or 4 months into Poch's first season.

And lots of abuse when Sherwood gave Kane his ever PL starts - with Kane scoring in his first 3 PL starts .... with people saying it wouldn't last. Hence the phrase 'one season wonder'

Solanke played reasonably well last year - and along with 4 other players got 20+ goals and assists in all competitions. That's the kind of form helping us to win EL.

I'm just responding to seeing multiple 4-0 predictions and people expecting us to win easy at the weekend. I'm trying to bring caution and explain that this is the real unknown with Frank. Can he get us to dominate lesser teams and create loads of chances? I was less worried about the tougher games as I know he is elite as setting up to be pragmatic

Well, he dominated and absolutely destroyed Leicester and Southampton twice last season, where they were not set up to be pragmatic at all....

But very few teams are going to be set up like Burnley are this season - in fact, it's been a while since we have a seen a team come up to the prem and do what they will try to do.

Its going to be an interesting game for sure and will tell us a lot.

Like you, I see anyone who is predicting an absolute rout hasn't seen Burnley play recently - but we also saw from frank last season that he very much understands the importance of an early goal..... so yeah, exciting

I love the language used by journo’s.

What exactly does preparing a bid entail? Are we licking the envelope? Clicking the pen? Perhaps Lange is doing finger exercises and voice warm ups by the phone?

Currently they are having a meeting on whether to sign off kind regards or many regards. TBC on outcome of that for now.

Lange favouring kind regards, but Levy insisting Frank happy with the current signature.

    Eze price too high

Neither Woolwich or Tottenham are willing to pay the asking price for Eberchi Eze this summer, according to reports.

David Ornstein of the Athletic claims that Crystal Palace would like a fee close to their £68m release clause of Eze – a figure that neither North London club is prepared to pay.

Ornstein claims that, for Woolwich, Eze has not gone from the agenda, but there will be considerations on the price, age profile and position he can play.

Herclueless Herclueless

This is how I felt yesterday. Nobody's paying 68m and once the clause ends its only downhill from there for palace and there hand weakens.

I still want us to cough up and pay whatever it take though tbh as we're so damn desperate but 55m +5m is the maximum they get now.

Problem is we leave the door open to Woolwich and others if we don’t go with the higher offer - sometimes it’s better to pay a bit more to get the deal done - we’re fairly desperate ourselves

Yes Richi played well last night.

He's not fit now and played in a system last season woefully set up to cater for him. Hopefully Frank can actually work on tactics and training that use Solanke to his best.
You say he's half the player Kane is, but he cost half what a 27 year old Kane would have cost.....so there's that.

There should be a greek godess of transfer speculation.

I got nothing else.
How long does it take to prepare a fucking bid - £60m over 5 years is our opening offer - further £3m if we make CL in the next 3 years and a further £2m when he gets 50 G/A

What are these slow cunts doing all summer other than going on jollies
Probably longer than we realise. It's a LOT of money. I don't think Klarna or V12 finance handle these transactions.
